Have had the pleasure of dealing with James for upgrading to JD tractor (3039R), mower (758) and XUV (590M) all in the last year. Delivery and service has been exemplary. James does not oversell gear, and I like his relaxed approach, and appreciate his knowledge and expertise to improve my time efficiency on a small acreage holding. Of course James is well supported by others (Paul at delivery, the workshop and field staff) to name but a few; highly recommended!

I’m not normally one to review but I’ve spent over 100k with this business. Poor communication and tried to tell me I hadn’t paid for something when the problem was their ability to reconcile their payments. In summary, advised to collect an order that was not complete, told I hadn’t paid the bill which I had several days earlier, refused to deliver an order 13 minutes up the road. Seems my time has no value but theirs does…… hopeless.

A warranty is only good if the store manager decides so.
I spent 30k in this place bought a gator for 20k the wheels and brakes squeal metal on metal. I took it back for them to look at, they charged me and sent it back to me exactly the same and said I just need to press the brakes harder (I’m guessing that’s because I’m female). James the store manager was arrogant and rude. Told me I could think what I want when I questioned his explanation. I had to call out a mechanic to fix my gator despite being under warranty.
Interestingly I found great service and repairs with Brant in Pakenham.
My advice STAY AWAY FROM HASTINGS and James particularly if you’re female.

These guys are very good. The service and support is exceptional. Tractor, zero-turn mower and Polaris purchased over the last 3 years. They have helped me out of a tricky spot, provided information, quotes and insights quickly. Thanks, James in particular, but all of the team including pick-up and delivery.

Hi all,
I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with one of the sales staff today regarding a stihl brush cutter. Extremely uninterested in helping with my simple problem of providing a bump head, I have been in the ag industry for over 25 years and have never had a worse experience with a company. Not the first time either! I will be going to mornington next time to spend my money that's for sure. Staff there are great!

Almost a dozen of the the bump head I required on the shelf, fitted to stock items?
Completely unhelpful sales staff.

James met us on site when the tractor was delivered and went through everything with us and didn't have any issue repeating himself where needed to help us understand all the functions and requirements. James does not forget his customers and is always accommodating when we needed further guidance or advice relating to the tractor and any implements. Got my chainsaw serviced here. Needed some extra work done, the guys called & let me know before anything was done. Now it's running great.

I have had great service and support from James and the team at Westernport Tractors over many years. They are very knowledgeable, understand my requirements, don’t try to oversell and always do what they say they will do.

Westernport tractors are excellent to deal with including pricing spare parts and general knowledge. I've recently purchased 2 John deere zero turn mowers both one for myself and a contractor. Over the years I've had plenty of ride on mowers, but my latest edition is first class being the Z335e a total weapon compared to other brands. The team are certainly the best I've dealt keep up the good work James and the crew.

These guys chased up parts for my 30 year old slasher. Parts turned up in a couple of days.will be coming back for more.
