Went for an appointment with Dr Umali. As I had symptoms of covid (without having Covid) I was told to go down to the far end of the waiting room. Dr Umali then called me by phone, refused to see me in his room and forced to recount my whole medical history in front of the whole waiting room. After this Dr. Umali finally came out to see me, hand me a medical certificate (which I asked for) and quickly listened to my chest, said nothing and told me I could leave. I left quite embarrassed and vowing never again to again. If you need a medical centre with fantastic doctors, I would recommend Deer Park Medical Centre at Brimbank Shopping Centre.

We recently moved to the area and my Partner went to see Dr. Umali to get a referral as his previous doctor recommended him to get, and Dr. Umali refused! Such a waste of time to visit! He didn’t even show some politeness and care.

If you want someone who can really help you with your health and concerns, don’t go here.

Staff are great. However, the issue of appointments not being followed is a problem. What’s the point of appointments if they can’t stick to it?
To the Management: I respect your time, pls respect the time of your patients also.

The doctors here are very knowledgeable and very thorough - Dr Sone and Dr Loida particularly, provide really good care. The receptionists on the other hand are extremely unwelcoming and make you feel very uncomfortable. I came to reception to check in for my appointment and the receptionist gave me such a nasty look as if she was being bothered by it. It was as if checking in patients was not part of her everyday work as a receptionist. This is not the first time this has happened, almost every single time my family attends this practice, the receptionists are beyond rude. On a rare occasion, they'll be nice to you but most of the time it's just not a good experience at all.

I’ve been seeing Andrew Farag podiatrist for a few months now and have found him very good. My painful feet have been relieved in a short time after suffering so long. He is always on time with appointments and very professional and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Dr Herrero is the most caring doctor you can find. The wait can be very long but when it is your turn, you can discuss all your concerns and you will not be hurried. You can leave her clinic with multiple tests and referrals to be sure everything is covered.
If you want on-time appointments, this probably wont work for you since some patients take 15-30 mins consultations and would push everybody's schedule further.

I had a booked morning appointment with a doctor at the Western Family Medical Centre. Upon arrival I was greeted by a receptionist who struggled to communicate in English and looked like she just finished her shift working the streets as a lady of the night. She finally managed to convey that my doctor was unavailable and the clinic tried to call me to let me know. I know this was nonsense, as there were no missed calls on my phone. I was offered to see another doctor to which I agreed. After a one and a half hour wait, sitting in a waiting room which had an offending scent of what can best be described as a combination of old left-over food and socks, I was finally seen by a doctor. The doctor struggled to speak in English almost as much as his receptionist colleague. My medical query was not resolved. How do these people get licensed to be health care workers? To increase your chances of survival, don't go to the Western Family Medical Centre.

The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. I waited 2 hours for an appointment that lasted less than 5 minutes. Whats the point of having an appointment if they don't follow the schedule. My appointment was for 10am, hard to believe that they were that far behind already so early in the day. Its always like this. Dont go here.

Have to prebook for GP appointments and then there is still a bit of a wait even if you were. Staff are mostly friendly and approachable.

Staff are polite. Doctors are very knowledgeable.
I just don’t see the point of booking a time for a visit and waiting for another 40-60mins. Time is GOLD.

As a token of gratitude, I am very happy to share unto my fellow diabetic patients the exemplary professionalism shown unto me by my Diabetic Educator JOSIE AYAD. She is very wholesome and accomodating. You can feel her caring spirit. I can recommend Mom Josie to others with full confidence. The Western Family Medical Centre is so blessed to have her as part of its staff.

Very poor reception! Careless! Due to public holiday only 2 doctors were available, the reception suggested that the Dr Sison can see me really quickly, but she does not mention that Dr Sison comes in at 10am, I walked in the medical centre at 9am and I had a ticket with number 3. I should of been third patient but due to careless attitude of the receptionist she suggested me a doctor Sison who is not in the medical centre. So I end up waiting 30minutes before I realised that Dr Sison not in until 10am, Ive wasted so much of my time. BAD SERVICE!
The only reason Ive keep coming back is Dr Herrero, she is a great doctor, but receptionists really lack the ability to communicate!

Doctors and staff are very good and attentive.
Dra. Herrero gives you that extra care and will not stop referring you to get tests for proper diagnosis and refers you to good specialists if needed.

Staff are friendly but needs to improve on their service. Hours of waiting for a doctor can be annoying especially when you’re not feeling well: (

Really poor triage. Took my daughter here for a 4 month vaccine and it took an hour and a half despite a booking one month in advance. They have no regard for an infant being tired and hungry due to this wait. I advised the nurse that administered the vaccine to give the oral vaccine first prior to the two needles but she seems to think she knows my daughter better than me and ignored my request. My daughter was distraught and barely took any of the oral vaccine. Never coming back to this place again and no parent should take their infants here for anything. Better to go to a private clinic where they bulk bill for patients under 15 years of age.

My family and I have been attending this clinic for over 13 years. All the staff are very helpful, sincere and care for the wellbeing of all patients. As they are always trying their very best to accommodate each and everyone of us, including walkin. There have been times when we've waited up to 2 hrs which is expected during very peak times. But, you must understand this is a minor issue when it comes to getting excellent care. The clinic has a Dentist, Skin specialist, Pathology and psychologist all in the comfort in the one building. What more can you ask for. Those who post negative feedback, you must remember that this is their OPINION not a FACT. Keep up the great work that loyal customers appreciate.

If you have time to spare go to this medical centre. Waiting time is AT LEAST 2hours. 2stars because staff and doctors are nice but time is very important. It is something you can not get back with apologies. Scheduling system needs major improvement.

I had the chance to meet with our diabetic nurse specialist Josie Ayat first time today and she is the bomb! Full of energy and shows the care for her patients. She takes time to educate me with the best diet as well as closely monitor my progress. I am so lucky I am now inspired to bring my health back to 100% normal.

Dr. Loida Herrero is the best. I don't mind driving far and waiting for long period of time because I have full confidence on her expertise. I can be rest assured that my family and I will be diagnosed correctly as she always did and prescribed proper medication and treatment afterwards. She also listens, and she truly cares which are the most important attributes of a doctor for me. Despite being the best in her field, she is so humble and passionate about her work.
