Werribee Park reviews
43Beautiful park maintained by volunteers. Great for picnics and walks. Should visit when the roses are in full bloom during the warmer months.
Excellent place to visit with friends and family. Car park not looks big enough to accommodate weekends. Bring your own food and enjoy. Public bus rote also available.
Super spot with some attractions nearby. Biggest one being the zoo, nice place to chill after a day at the zoo.
What an excellent day we had. Visiting the Werribee Mansion was really well set up and so interesting. Then light lunch at the Cafe restaurant, very good Cornish Pastie and salad. Followed by walk through the Rose Garden area. Beautiful!
As soon as I entered, I rushed to the safari. If you sit on the left, you can see it better. Since it was open week, I took a walk and looked around. If you bring your children's swimsuits, there is a place inside where they can play in the water.
Lovey building and grounds, hotel rooms are a bit run down and not up to the standard of the main entrance and communal areas
A very nice and chill place. Like small version of botanic garden but brilliant. I love this place, great for family and friends picnic and hangout.
Large grand building with nice gardens. Attended a friend's wedding. Quite easy to get lost.
A piece of African and Asian wild life in our suburbs. It is an enchanting experience for kids and adults alike.
The staff are passionate and love their job and makes the visit to the Park memorable.
A fantastic hidden gem that everyone should know more about. Free entry into the mansion grounds and state rose garden. Worth doing a tour of the mansion itself at least once, it's a very interesting historical tour - think Melbourne's very own Downton Abbey.
A step back in time. I love wandering the gardens of this magnificent property. You can spend half an hour or 4 hours, whatever takes your fancy. Wander past the mansion and down to the farm buildings and take in the history. Check out the river and finish off inhaling the perfumes of the State Rose Garden
A beautiful place to take the family.
They have wonderful easter egg hunts for the children in the easter time and other events throughout the year.
If you want to take your partner for a relaxing and cute date the rose garden is amazing!
Plenty of space for a picnic and for the children to run around.
Beautiful historical place, magical ambience!
It takes you back to the golden era. You need a whole day to enjoy its beautiful surroundings. I am in love with the beauty of savannah beside the river. Specially, when you go down to the river from the historical staircase!?
Beautiful views. I now exercise here by walking at the back of the river. Alot of space to enjoy a picnic. Grass is very green and as yu enter you can smell the flowers growing around in the garden.
This place has always been beautiful, but the lockdowns have enabled staff to really beautify the place and the birds have returned as cheeky as ever. Watch out for those thieving black crows and magpies, all making my 3year old laugh her head off. Even on recent sunny days there were only a dozen families and just a few with a picnic set up. The State Rose Garden nearby is bursting with growth as well. Plenty of parking.
Great setting and very well done. The layout is informative. It was a seminary for priests of Tasmania and Victoria. The gardens are stunning as is the architecture.
Didnt go into mansion but the grounds are a great place to relax or have a picnic. Its nice not habing to pay to enjoy the gardens. Plus next door there is the equestrian centre so if there is an event on you can drop by there. In the past they have run the cross country through the grounds which would be a great spectacle.
Such a beautiful mansion as always good to take a look back at history as the gardens are pure joy. There is a rose garden adjoining the ground but nothing too special
A lovely place, but difficult to find the correct entry gate particularly at night. More signage is needed inside the property as well.
People of maps. This is another gem in the class of the langholme Yarra side Melbourne and the one maylasia. Order the delightful picnic (basket) venture onto the lawn or under a gorgeous tree and indulge in this with your dearest.
