Wen & Ware Living reviews
31One of the best shops I know anywhere! Has it's own cafe with great wholesome food and awesome coffee. An amazing section of goods on sale and complimentary wrapping offered too. I visited needing both a coffee plus gifts for two people and left with all needs met!)
Beautiful homewares and great coffee. Highly recommend for a lovely morning or afternoon tea.
Almost like walking into fairyland or Aladdin's Cave when entering into this magnificent place in Bridge Mall. One has to walk slowly through the superbly displayed treasures within.trying not to miss anything. I would challenge anyone to not discover a few " just what I was looking for " whilst slowly moving through the incredible displays throughout WEN & Ware. Definitely one of Ballarat's finest treasures.
Great atmosphere. Warm and cosy. I could have asked for my coffee to be hotter. I will definitely go back.
Eclectic gift shop with a cafe that is popular (despite being poorly heated) serving standard cafe fare. I've only had tea and hot chocolate here. Nothing out of the ordinary, just average in both quality and service. In comparison to other cafes in town they are rather stingy with marshmallows (serving one little stale Pascal's marshmallow which is no match for two huge and top quality Grounded Pleasures marshmallows that you can get in a near by trendy cafe). I'll only return when a friend suggests meeting here because it's convenient, and not by design.
Tourist looking for late breakfast and found this place. Real fruit toast srved with lemon curd and butter! Quiche good size for breakfast portion and the latte was hot, strong and milk textured accurately.
Looked lovely and beautifully laid out but couldn't offer us anything vegan at all to eat from a cabinet full of food. Very disappointed.
Very clean store.
Staff polite
Coffee is fantastic great creamy lattie.
Look forward to return visit
Good range of unique gifts and a fabulous cafe great fresh food and savoury scones are amazing! The food is amazing!

What I really love is that there is a small cafe within this store. It is modern, light and interesting. Even the hand sanitizer upon entry/exit smells great. This is a good place to have a coffee and something light whilst meeting up with a friend. I used to frequent the smaller Wen And Ware store in Armadale, though that store has no cafe. Some of the staff could use a little more retail training. The shop is great for finding gifts for all kinds of budgets. The gift wrapping is an art in itself.
We came here today so we could buy some coffees & gifts. I stood infront of the coffee machine while the 3 girls chatted to each other and were asking each other "do you know what she wants? " I was then asked "are you right? " I said "I haven't been served, I would like 2 takeaway coffees" and before I could say "I'm going to look for a few gifts" I was rudely told "you have to stand over there & order. " I should've just walked out! You can keep your complimentary chocolates. People want to be treated with some respect! You also lost a few $$ today, as we had 5 gifts to buy!
Incredibly rude staff. Not once was I offered any assistance in the store but plenty of other customers who “fit their bill” were assisted instantly. When I politely asked for a hand in looking for an item the girl behaved like she was not interested in helping me at all. Other staff members just walked around me as if I was in there way.
Discriminatory staff who illegally asked for a medical exemption for a mask of which you do not need to carry or have!
Was asked to leave while discussing the legality of this!
Shame on you and your illegal “store policy”
I was very disappointed by the rude girl that approached me upon entering the store today. I have shopped here for many years and after today’s experience I won’t be returning. Such a shame as I usually buy all of my birthday and Christmas gifts from here.
My community group (8-10 people) met every Wednesday for lunch, snack & coffee. They couldn’t guarantee they could accomodate us. One week we were told a table was reserved for us & then the next week we were told they had to offer the tables to everyone & not reserve tables. Hanna & the other barista & table staff made us feel welcome, by getting to know us, but the ordering staff are unfriendly & rude. It’s a shame, the food & drinks are great. We have decided to move our weekly community group coffee meetup to the Yacht Club. They are happy to accommodate us & with a smile. Bye Wen & Ware… your loss.
I love the coffee here but I think they need a price board up. Yesterday I brought 2 date scones and 2 coffees. $25.80 which means per scone is about $7.50? That is completley absurd. I heard severeral people say; "I beg your pardon? " When they were told the price of their food. People are too emabarrassed to cancel their order, so perhaps a price board would actually give people a choice to order or not.
Really disappointed in the iced chocolate - mostly mildly flavoured water. Service is too slow! Food is ok.
Always love coming here. The food is delicious and coffee is great. Only problem is the prices. Came recently by myself and ordered a chicken filo that came with salad and I was charged $17.50! For a pastry that’s just warmed up and a side garden salad. Extremely overpriced! Especially annoying when prices aren’t advertised anywhere!
If you like different, quality and very 'posh' either as a gift or for yourself visit this homewares boutique! You come out empty handed. Staff know their stuff and even hold items if you ask. And the cafe, lovely food, cakes and up market lunches. You can't book, it's a small area so eat and leave. Great for coffee catch ups. You can park in the area where Coles and Safeway are and cross over to this cafe.
