Thanks Alan for fantastic advice. After he diagnosed a known hinge problem with my son's laptop, he advised I ask Lenovo for repair even though it was out of warranty. To my surprise they came to the party and did the repair. It was so worth getting Alans advice so I could confidently tell them the problem. Would highly recommend!

I can't speak highly enough of Webstar. It is perhaps the most efficient, technically capable, helpful and polite group that I have ever dealt with. I came in late one afternoon in December with an emergency problem with my laptop unable to even start. Webstar worked after hours, determined the problem and fixed it by 9: 30 pm that evening. That's dedication, technical know-how and service for you.

I had an unrelated problem in early Jan. Webstar fixed it on the spot. Their technical skills and dedication to service are just unbelievable.

Alan, who runs Webstar, is wonderful. He's been keeping my 4 PCs going for about 7 years, and recently advised me on buying a great laptop after my previous one finally showed signs of curling up its toes despite our efforts.
Unlike most other "experts" I tried before Alan, I've never felt ripped off, and everything he's done has stayed done - in other words, it's like finding a good, honest car mechanic if you're a mechanical klutz. They're worth their weight in gold, and Alan's worth much more than that.
Alan's helped upgrade two of my computers, so I didn't have to buy new ones. One dates from 2007, and runs like a bird, coping well with Windows 10 (or as well as any computer!). The other dates from 2010, and my now 16 yo son, who is a high powered game player, loves it still!
My 19 yo son studies and makes films, and also loves his computer (2010), although I think it also needs an upgrade - except he won't help pay for it, the mean bum.
I try as much repairing as I can at home (I've been working with computers since 1989), but when my partner gets cross with the time I'm spending on it she gets me to phone Alan, who will point me in the right direction, or ask me to bring it in. He then gives a quote, always perfectly reasonable, does the work and away we go again.
