I was in Mount Buffalo in March 2023 with George and Karolin and the tour was an unique experience.
The organization and communication before the tour was very professional. I was informed in detail about the itinerary.
I was picked up on time on the day of the outbound trip. George and Karolin were very friendly.
In Mount Buffalo itself, we did a short sightseeing tour on the first day after arrival and George already gave me very helpful tips about photography.
After that we did two sunset and two sunrise workshops which were very unique. The photography was a lot of fun, because George explained me in detail what to pay attention to.
The processing of the images was also well explained to me and I was able to get a lot out of the 3 day workshop.
Overall, I felt very comfortable and was able to enjoy the beautiful area in Mount Buffalo as well as learn a lot about photography and deepen my previous knowledge.
I can highly recommend the tour and WeareRawPhotography as a whole.
I myself will do the New Zealand tour in August.

I recently returned from an amazing photography trip to Tasmania with Karolin and George of We Are Raw Photography. Everything was, without exception, perfect, from accommodation and meals, to the glorious, beautiful sites that we photographed.

Both George and Karolin are wonderful teachers, knowledgeable and always extremely encouraging and enthusiastic about our work. I learnt an enormous amount during this time, and can’t wait to put that knowledge to use.

In addition, the company was great - we all got along well, enjoying a chat and laugh together at meals. A gastronomic highlight was Furneaux Restaurant and Comptoir at St Helens - French cuisine that is not to be missed!

Baby Iris was a delightful presence on the trip.

I would highly recommend We Are Raw Photography if you are considering a photography tour or workshop of this nature.

"Great to share a wonderful photographic tour with passionate, experienced professional photographers. I had a wonderful week with George and Karolin and other participants discovering the wonders of Tasmania. I found the tour extremely well organised. The passion of both professional teachers is infectious and they were always willing to do anything for you and share ALL their knowledge at any time day or night. We stayed in excellent accommodation and their knowledge of local restaurants was a bonus. The addition of baby Iris to the family business was one I look forward to seeing grow over the years. She was a happy bundle of joy the entire trip"

My Tasmanian tour with these guys was fabulous. George and Karolin are so passionate about their craft, very knowledgeable and helpful too, happily teaching and guiding us along the way with whatever we needed. They were so much fun too and little Iris is such a cutie. Didn’t hear a peep out of her all week. This was my third tour with these guys. I highly recommend We Are Raw and look forward to my next adventure with them.

Just completed my second photo tour with George and Karolin - a fabulous 6 day Tasmania trip - highly recommended! George and Karolin not only work tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the trip is excellent, they also are masters at their photo craft and have really helped me learn and practice many techniques to improve my photo skills. They work hard to provide many opportunities for shooting beautiful locations each day and combine this with some great walks and adventure along the way. They have chosen great locations that provide many opportunities for a range of landscape shots and are always available and happy to provide advice on getting great images and trying new techniques.

The Tassie tour was also complimented with great cafe's, restaurants, lodging and 'must see' spots that really added to the enjoyment of the trip and getting a great Tassie experience.

I will be back for more tours with George and Karoline - excellent folks who provide great value.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY Their screaming 10 month old baby ruined my trip of a lifetime! No information on their website or via emails & phone calls letting you know that the baby would be traveling in the van, be at every meal and photoshoot. They advertise small groups and 2 qualified photographers…. Except one of them was always with the baby! Picture this…. Serene beautiful Dove Lake at Cradle Mountain with perfect reflections, 5 amateur photographers needing guidance and 1 baby screaming the whole time we were there! No apology just take your money and rock up with a baby. They were so arrogant and were a bit amused when I complained at the end of the tour! I would give no stars if I could! Cancel if you can or invest in a pair of noise canceling headphones!

In response to your comment -
You DID NOT contact me via phone email or text message as I would have definitely said NO to you bringing your baby. I didn’t mention anything during the tour as I didn’t want to make it uncomfortable for everyone else. You said you sent an email regarding how we would be picked up in Launceston but nobody got this either! The whole trip felt un organised. Going to Tessellated Pavement at high tide was also a definite fail. Just because you have a “spare week in your busy calendar “ doesn’t mean it’s the best time to photograph a place. There was no breakfast on the second morning because you hadn’t checked the booking the night before! You can’t blame “Tasmanians” it’s ultimately your responsibility. Landscape Photography for me is about being part of the landscape and capturing a moment of meaning. I (and others) felt rushed as not enough time was given prior to the sunrise or sunset to find a pleasing composition. Unless you are offering financial compensation for bringing your baby which I WAS NOT informed about, Please do not contact me.

George and Karolin, thank you so much for a wonderful day, packed full of expert insight and a massive willingness to share and educate. I really wanted to re-discover LE photography and it was an absolute pleasure to be guided round the peninsula by you both. Your love of photography shone through and your enthusiasm is definitely infectious. Incredible photographers but importantly too, wonderful educators. I'm sure i will be back.

Thank you so much once again.
Cheers

Jon and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the Mornington Peninsula with George and Terry. We were taken to some fabulous locations and we learnt a lot about long exposure using Haida filters and even some new functions within our cameras. George was very helpful and provided excellent advice regarding landscape compositions and things to consider when setting up for a shot. A lot of fun and laughter was had. Thank you George for a great day out.
