I've always had amazing service at WDEA with Sharon and the team, helping me out when I've been unwell & giving me information along with support on wanting to start my own business. But today you guys have gone above and beyond, I was stuck between figuring out how to budget rent, bills, fuel and food for the next month after being given a sudden and unexpected bill.
I needed new shoes for work and figured out I could afterpay $40 max per week on a $150 pair of shoes but I would have to cut my grocery business. When I asked where the shoe stores were here I was told that you guys could help me get new shoes, not only did you help me get and find new shoes that are absolutely amazing and the support is instantly making my joints feel so much better, you covered the cost. I can afford to get some decent food and the new frying pan I've been looking at.
The support I've already gotten was amazing, but this was the icing on the cake.
I'm going to miss the support I get when you guys go.
Thank you
You've really made a difference

I have had great experiences with other WDEA branches but the people in the Bendigo branch just can't get their stuff together.
The amount of messages I have left with crystal or whatever her name is and it has never been passed on.
Obviously zero care factor and zero respect to their clients.
As long as the ladies here are getting paid for doing nothing they have no reason to do their actual jobs.

The service I have received to date is exceptional. I was injured at work 18 months ago, long story. Since I was placed with WDEA Bendigo they have helped with every need to get me back in the workforce. They have helped me get my HC licence, Clothes and more. Make these guys your first choice.

PS. Chris Jolly needs a payrise.

A friend came home completely distressed after having 2 of your disgraceful employees strip away any self esteem, enthusiasm, and confidence she had by telling her "she would not survive an interview". This is yet another example of job network agencies whose only interest is getting government kickbacks rather than assisting their clients get a job. This woman (who is older), would love a job as she has told your agency. The two young, arrogant, incompetent people who tore her apart in her 'mock' interview are a disgrace! Not only were they disrespectful to their client, they shredded her motivation and confidence. These were not her regular case manager, however these 2 WDEA amateurish employees demonstrated their own lack of people skills, showed zero compassion, and, quite frankly, their ineptitude was astounding! Yet these are the people who have a job (even though, clearly they have no idea how to do their job), whilst they are telling clients they will never get a job! Go figure.

Thank you for your response. Further to phone discussions, and a meeting today (the day after my original post), the outcome appears to be satisfactory. Moving forward, hopefully this experience will not have to be repeated for any of your clients, and my friend is able to be assisted with ongoing support from her regular case manager in her efforts to gain employment.

Not one time was I ever emotionally or physically supported by anyone at Bendigo WDEA. They're a bunch of grim faces and even worse when you sit down with them, not once was I made to feel comfortable. It was always a sickening experiencing dealing with these people. Horrible experience with them. Bullies. Who harass not support. Threaten and not help. Fine (money) when you are unable to comply. They will happily send you to the streets, homeless, destitute, if you are unable to comply with there demands. I have nothing but disdain for this government funded waist of tax payers money org. To explain the 5 stars below. "Katie works there"!

I've never not been emotionally and physically supported by everyone at Bendigo WDEA. They're all friendly faces and even better when you sit down with them, not once have I felt uncomfortable. Wonderful group, especially compared to other job services in the area.

They made me loose my job, stuffed my resume and dont keep appointment dates that you both arrange with them. I am changing to another one because of all this.

Took them 6 months to give me an answer of no for a 15 hr a week job.
They did not keep their own appointments on a regular basis.
I had 4 different consultants in a 6 month period, none of them knew what was happening or what they should do.
The manager has little man syndrome, feels threatened by everything and just makes threats when you ask difficult questions they cannot answer.
If you don't actually want a job then give 'em a go because they will do absolutely nothing to help you. They are simply employed directly by the government to make people jump through hoops so they can tick a box.
WDEA motto: "We're not here to get you a job". You will hear that quite a lot. In fact my favourite throwaway meaningless comment in the face of their own failures and spectacular incompetence is, "We understand your frustration". No, no you don't, which brings me here to write this review.
If you do actually want a job like me, do NOT have anything to do with any "employment service" that is directly funded by the government. If I could have given WDEA a no star rating I would have. Fake and fraudulent, incompetent and threatening. WDEA house of fail.
