WDEA Works Ballarat reviews
15Me I didn't have much to do because of my age but house share friend did wdea they don't have the training for someone who suffers mental health issues very disappointing it's very hard to deal with I know and to be bullyed by a so called senior executive not on they are there to help now she's to scared to go there well that's really helping someone I look forward to next visit to meeting this person
Pathetic team that do not do anything in a hurry.promised more jobs then ppl to put in em to lure me into the program. I should've stayed with the other mob. DO NOT USE THIS DISABILITY JOB NETWORK.
WASTE OF YOUR TIME, STEER CLEAR IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FINDING EMPLOYMENT. I WISH I COULD HAVE GIVEN LESS THEN 1 STAR THATS EVEN TOO MUCH FOR THIS LOT
Very poor job agency, as a job seeker I received very little support and had to do everything on my own. I found my own job and kept being harassed for payslips.
This is a useless and waste of time of a employment place that I have ever seen or been with. All they do is make waste full time and appointments and calls and do absolutely nothing to gain you to help you get a job. They do nothing. Most of the employment agencies here in Ballarat waste of time.
I have been with other disability service providers - WDEA Works has been the best. Within a couple of days of joining them they were setting up job interviews appropriate to my skills and experience. They listen to you and don't treat you like a number. They actually help you and respect you instead of just talking about it.
It's a mixed bag. The staff are generally interested in helping you. One of the staff members was more interested sticking with his mate at a business I was working at than helping me through a sticky situation (who knows what he really thought of me then). Also be ready to be caught off guard when you are comfortable with one of your case workers, to be put on to someone else without any notice. Just remember they want to keep you on the books because it makes them money. I'd say shop around if you feel like it's not working for you and meeting your needs, especially if you are disrespected.
I've been with wdea for 6years and I find they are very good understanding my situation and they have very helpful find me works that suits my ability to work in my health situation and staff are fantastic to me and thank you very much wdea.
Thanks Pete P, done so much for me & appreciate all your help in finding me opportunities. Cant recommend WDEA high enough. Mick
We have employed staff through WDEA and always found them to be supportive. Can not recommend them highly enough.
As a low income self employed single parent of 3 children. I can honestly say they did nothing to assist me. Except harass me to do a variety of Centrelink approved time waisting moronic soul crushing activities, which have no purpose apart from fictitiously creating the illusion on paper that there clients are doing something worthwhile. So they can continue taking tax payers money in the way of grants. When in reality its fake. A bit like the fake news.
They absolutely neglected my needs for me to be a parent or the fact that i set up a business without one shred of help from them & was working for myself. They expected me to bark when asked to bark. Roll over when told to roll over, but they never rubbed my belly.
I have been fine, (by the heartless manager of Centrelink), suspended (again thanks to Centrelnk managment) and ultimately lost all my payments because I fail to comply to there absolute nonsensical demands at the bequest of Centrelink. Makes me wonder how these idiots can get get these jobs. Oh I know. They act. Carry out. But do not question. Compromising the inner sacred nature of there hearts. Trading there souls for short term gain. When you are sent to the Judge. And you are put on the scales. You will be weighed & marked deficient.
Pathetic, they don't put you forward for jobs that suit. They ONLY match a person with jobs that don't 9/10x. They refuse to pay for anything that will give you an advantage in finding work, taxi's, clothes, busses, medication, ect. Please don't get stuck here like I once did CENTRECARE is the best in ballarat, after switching found a SUITABLE job within 2 weeks I was employed full time. Hope this review helps. Stay away
I see Tana here every fortnight. She is a very kind and helpful woman and is genuinely interested in my progress. Excellent service and I was able to get a job quickly with her assistance.
Awful! I was with them 2 years. They don't care about you. The first work for the dole placement they put me in had seriously injured 3 people prior to me, including a slipped disk and a broken hand. I made 4 when they nearly tore the muscles off my shoulders! I was told after the fact by locals about how the placement was a death trap and the other injuries under WEDA's "supervision". I spent 2 months in recovery, but still suffer with neck and shoulder pain.
WEDA bullied me during recovery and ignored my calls because I couldn't work. When I came back WEDA put me in construction! I had to fight with the help of work safe and my Physiotherapist to move jobs. Don't come here, RUN!
