Waverley Netball Centre reviews
15Great place after the upgrade. Outside courts look great.great staff at the shop and a convenient spot to watch the indoor courts
Good facilities. If the car park is full (for example during the competitions on Saturday), it is just as easy to park in Jells park and walk across.
Good cafe during the games. Nice staff. The local council needs to add more accessibility parking. 3 spots is not enough. Only 2 are really wheelchair accessible and the third is away from the main entrance.
I realise the facility is going through an upgrade of the outdoor courts currently, this rating is based on how it is now. There should be better lighting into the carpark area, better walkways through to there also. Shelters for the outside courts for either shade or wet weather. Better access to view the indoor courts from the first floor. In my opinion, these would help bring the facility into a top tier arena.
The home of Netty the first purpose built venue in Aus and still rates ahead of most of the new places
If I could rate this establishment 0 stars I would, the rudest people work and attend here, their mannerism and respect levels are non existent, I would not recommend going there or letting your kids play there. Coming from a respectful family I understand how to deal with diverse situations and these people definitely don't.
Good maintenance of the place, however it would be nice to have some shelter on the outdoor courts when it rains, simply because there are children who play netball there, and everytime at least one person gets sick.
Greeted by lovely garden area around car park with lots of greenery. Inside was bright, clean, generally speaking well maintained, very new looking. Plastic seats were cracked and way too narrow but courtside wooden benches were in good condition.
Indoor and outdoor courts which are clean and well maintained. There are a couple of take away coffee places too. Some courts have undercover areas where you can watch the games, but a few of the outdoor ones are pretty exposed with not much cover. Definitely need an umbrella if it's raining and you are watching a game on one if the outdoor courts.
Great facility! Courts were excellent both indoor & outdoor with all amenities well maintained (clean etc) & easily accessible. Definitely a great venue to participate in the Vic Emergency Services Games. Super well organised seamless event.
Sufficient facilities and food/drink choices to keep patrons of all types sustained. Could do with some better ventilation or airflow indoors on the courts, but everything else is great.
Wonderful metro netball centre, busy all week with girls playing netball and having fun playing team sport
Excellent facilities. A good competition. I will admit that the umpiring isn't as good as other centres. Seems to have a lot of younger umpires that are learning - so the inconsistency can be frustrating for some. Update, 22 Nov, just filled in and thought it was worth adding that it seems to be an attitude problem for the younger umpires more than anything. Also, no lighting to the bush car parking - just need to be careful.
Limited opening hours, but (when the parking is open) easy to get to and find a spot. 3 courts with hoops all up and a playground a bit further down, plus the rest of the park near by.
Just a warning that prices at the kiosk are a bit expensive.
Not enough food sorry
netballers starve to death as a result of the lack of food the canteen provides
