Love this fish and chip shop, very well priced with tasty food, especially the chicken burger

Polite and speedy service. My Flounder was mostly thick batter and very little fish - a disappointment. Chips were overdone and consequently dry. Will stick to excellent chip pie in Surrey Hills (unfortunately closed for a month).

Wattle Park fish and chips are vary from average to awful. Today we ordered grilled fish and they didn't even provide a lemon slice. I should look for a new fish and chip shop.

A good fish and chips shop. The owner can speak Chinese. It tastes good, the price is cheap, and the most important thing is that it is close to the school. Disadvantages are the same. Sauce is more expensive. It is recommended to take it home and take Tata sauce out of the refrigerator.

Great food, good quality. Uber left an item behind and refused to go back and pick it up. So spoke to the team at Wattle Park Fish n Chips and even though they were really busy they drove it to us themselves. Awesome service.

Guy behind the counter (I think the owner) base ball Cap, always so friendly. Value for small chips is fantastic, plus brilliant chippies. All the fish excellent, ask for flake well done (the batter comes up a treat) I certainly enjoy a regular pleasure from here. Buy the family Sunday lunch and walk 200 meters and enjoy them in lovely wattle park

I live close to this place and get the food every few weeks. I don't get fish so won't comment on that.

The chips are very tasty, the potato cakes great and the battered sausage is good too. They are cheap, give heaps of food and are nice and as quick as possible (weekends it's a little longer wait)

I go here any time I feel like gooooood chippies.

Terrible! Requested chips well done. They forgot about the order and left it all sitting under the heat lamp for 20 minutes. The result was soggy. Never again!

Do not go on a Friday night around 6.45pm as they say 15mins but you wait 25mins and still not ready.

Perfect fish and chips. I had snapper, calamari rings and chips. Huge snapper with light and crispy batter. Crumbed calamari super crispy and tasty. Golden chips and plenty in small portion. A+

Passing by and wanting a fish and chip fix, this seemed like a good option. The fish tasted fresh, was crispy and had plenty of seasoning. The chips and potato cakes were also really good, and we're still crunchy by the time we got home.

Service was friendly and quick and it was good not having to wait around too long. Their other menu items looked good too, so we will be back for more yummy takeaways.

Absolutely terrible, nothing against them, i constantly order at this place, about 1-2 times a week - the chips are so bad, they are all soggy and flavourless their $4 minimum chips are genuinely inedible. As for the potato cakes, they are edible 25% of the time but the majority they are way too thick and the middle of them is never cooked - always raw and chewy and just tastes like batter. I don’t understand how they have a 3.9 star rating when they only make decent food 1 in 5 times you order. (Coming from a 5 year constant customer)

Some of the best flavours happens when you eat the most simple dishes and the Wattle Park fish and chips delivers on that.

I still have no idea why this shop receive a lower star rating than the Hip Fish shop in Surrey Hills (the fish batter there taste like raw flour). Was only here in Melbourne for 3 months but went back to this shop for almost 20 times (unhealthy, I know). This places sells cheap fish and chips that are delicious ($8.80 for a blue grenadier and chips). Batter is crispy and fish is fresh. The chips could have some improvement but even if no changes were made, I'm still satisfied. This review is not fake or whatsoever and my standard in food is quite high.

Chips were yellow and had a strong taste of old oil to them. Should probably change the oil more often. Well salted though.

For all the other people who are looking for a normal experience look elsewhere.

Ignore the positive reviews as they are most likely fake accounts or people who have very low standards and expectations. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews!

Language communication difficulties led to the order being wrong, so be careful and check the price. Fish was overcooked and hence dry, chips were ordinary, but maybe a busy Friday night was the reason.
