When purchasing a watch the guys at Watch Collector Co.are great to deal with. Their website has the best photos of any of the dealers I have dealt with, descriptions are very accurate and transactions are no fuss. I visited the shop on very short notice which was accommodated easily.

I have also recently had a watch serviced by Watch Collector Co.and the work is first rate, a special shout out to the polishing and refinishing work. While some may choose not to have this sort of work done at servicing, as this was a modern watch that is part of my daily wearer rotation it needed it. After servicing the watch looks brand new with no changes in the case, all angles remain sharp and even.

I had a nice 1960s vintage watch I wanted to sell.
The local shops where I lived did not offer much and were only out to make a big profit and told me it was worth nothing much.
So I started looking on the net on ebay etc and had been watching a few with high price that had been on there for a long time with no sales. I came across another site that specializes in watches, they don't even get the watches sent to them they are just middle men and pay the money when the watch has been checked out by the buyer. So really anyone can sell anything on there in any condition working or not. I then found watchcollector who are based in Sydney and Melbourne, I decided to give them a call, I spoke to Michael and told him what watch I had and he was very interested in my watch. I sent it to them following their instructions, they had already gave a price they would pay, when they received it they inspected and said it was a beautiful watch but a slight bit if work needed doing to it which was a new wheel cog inside.
They offered a a bit lower than the original figure, I was happy with the new offer.
I felt good about selling to watchcollector, but what really made me go with them was how passionate they were about watches.
They said any watch they take and sell will be in perfect working condition so I knew the new owner could enjoy the watch for many years.

I had a Rolex that was damaged by a jeweler and was beyond restoration by the average watchmaker. Through laser welding and expert craftsmanship Michael was able to restore my Rolex back to its original condition. Have a look at the before and after photos attached. The man is a magician as chunks of the clasp was dented and rounded off however Michael expertly added metal back onto the clasp and refurbished the whole watch. The refinishing is delicate and graceful and likely exceeds that of a factory new Rolex.

Even though most people would always highly recommend RSC over independent watchmakers, and they are not wrong for that, Michael on the other hand is one of a kind and on a different stratosphere. This is the place to get your watch restored or refurbished properly and I mean properly done. Speaking from experience, please do not buy from jewelers or take chances on other pre-own watch dealers…check out this workshop and speak to Michael as you will not leave disappointed. Please inspect the photos attached and judge for yourself.
