Watan Supermarket and Halal Butcher

Most of the products are expired.and they still try to sale it check your product expire date before buy it.

Amazed by the variety of meat and quality of the cuts. Glad to find a place that sells halal lamb and mutton. Very friendly staff.

I will highly recommend not to go and buy from this shop. One staff is extremely unprofessional and speaks out insulting word to customers. Probably the son of the owner. It’s his luck that I haven’t kick him

Very wonderful watan supermarket and Butcher Shop, many countries People's liked daily needs food's items available every day, mostly indians, arbic, turkish, iranis etc.all types vegetarian & nonvege meets also availabels everytime.gift item's also availabels, No parking problems, that's market setup nearly purnell road, Corio Village Shopping ️ centre and near police station road.

The owner is very rude and does not know how to behave with costomur. He knows there is not many afghani shops that’s why his behaviour is rude. He thinks people will visits his shop as they don’t have another option. He needs to change his behavoir or close the shop. First learn behavoir and then open a shop. Very unsatisfied.

Meat section ok but there’s no prices on half their stuff and lots of stuff is very out of date! Meat people are friendly but guy out the front counter looks upset all the time (even the frozen fish in the freezer have a warmer smile than this guys look! Funny how packets of pasta shot up from 75c to $3.00 because of pandemic check the dates and check your change! Always ask for a receipt!

I had Really Bad experience today with the guy at the front, he doesn't know how to deal with a customer! Very rude behaviour!

Just be careful with the expired items they are selling.

Almost all the rusks are expired and still on the shelf

Went back to return it. Not a single word of sorry. Instead the guy on the counter was complaining was did I open the box as you have wasted my $10 (as he would be selling it again)

Was kind of disappointed on the customer service. Please double check the expiry Daye of things you gonna buy.

As awesome as the products are, the customer service is just as bad. I bought three jelly packs which clearly said 3 for $2.99. The guy charged me $1.99 each. When I asked, he said this is American dollars, not for here as the product comes from India (product package says made in Pakistan). I told him he needs to get rid of the price on the package as it is misleading. The discussion went on and on as to why he can’t do that, I gave up.

I needed to buy some meet, I waited around 45 minutes for my order and the guy in the meet section was fantastic, explained to me that I am by myself and is taking long. After around 45 minutes wait the owner of the shop called Naseem came, I told him politely to improve the service as I am waiting for 45 minutes to buy meet. His reply was that you have come on the wrong time, bad luck as I was praying and taking lunch. I told him there is no sign posted to suggest you are on a pray/lunch break. He told me not to talk to me like this otherwise I will refuse to serve you. A very rude person he is.

Very very very bad shop and customer service. The products are very expensive and most of them are not labeled on the shelves or selling it more expensive at the the casher. They rudely spoke to me when I want to revise and understand my receipt.many items are added in the receipt with different names and unknown items and sometimes I find items I didn’t buy but I paid for it. Rather than we stopped getting meat from them because it smells bad and old.
NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANY ONE SAVE YOUR HEALTH AND MONEY.

l Have bought meat but the meat was old and what and if we eat it we would’ve got to have food poisoning I prefer somewhere else to buy the meat not from here if you buy the meat you would go to get food poisoning which is not good for your health please don’t Byatt

Best supermarket so far. 1 of the best supermarket that have a halal food. Love to shoppping here. The best food products from afghanistan, iran, etc. Love the pickles!

Very bad experience never gonna buy from this shop. I bought two tray Eggs when i wanted to cook i found most of them was not eatable and the shop selling food very expensive

A hidden treasure of Corio Shopping Centre. Beautiful fresh meat (my friend, the daughter of a butcher, has been very impressed), spices, dried fruits and nuts, fresh huge slabs of flat bread.the list goes on. Very friendly and helpful service.
If you cook Ottolenghi's recipes - go there!

Very bad experience with this shop, expensive and bad customer service. Owner of the shop very bad person. We handed over the written complaint to the responsible Department about this shop inappropriate and self imposed price and also selling stale meat, kept for ages in the cold room. I advise all people take care of your health and save your money from this shop's scammers. The responsible Department will take action soon.

This is very very expensive store. It was not that expensive before, but since Covid 19 started, they became very expensive even on on regular things like meat, and rice and so on.

We have been shopping in this store every second day for something but Not anymore, Really Bad experience with the guy at the front, he doesn't know how to deal with a customer!

Yesterday I bought flour from this shop and it was the wrong brand, I went back to shop after 2 MINUTES talking to my partner for swap with the right one, he refused to swap flour and after 2 to 3 minutes arguments, he agreed to swap and he said, I'm a worker here and I can't do refund or swap,
He is the one all the time on the front counter and manages all staff, I felt he was lying to me as well for $16.50 Flour which is Very Sad.

I have spent hundreds of dollars in this store for the groceries but I think it's NOT WORTH IT time and money if you talking to staff like this.
