Took a morning brisk power walk around the grounds on a windy morning in June and was struck by a stray tree branch. Following my daily ritual, I was hyping myself with some loud music and didn't hear the snapping of the tree branch that suddenly struck me down.

I'm not sure whether there are certain supplements or sprays you could be giving these trees, but I would look into it so no one is left sprawled on all fours on the bike path like I was (very humiliating).

Otherwise, lovely park with lovely scenery (on less windy days).

Heavenly stop for bikes doing the Yarra trail. Even has bike pumps and Allen keys for free use.

Part of a much larger continuous area of parkland and nature reserve which follows the Yarra (Birrarung) River. Beautifully maintained by Banyule Council, it boasts public facilities, thousands of magnificent trees, and easy access by public transport or bicycle. The Main Yarra Trail, a shared pedestrian and bike path, runs through it.

This parkland has really grown into a perfect spot to run, walk, cycle or just relax. It was a favourite place to visit as a child, many years ago but now its 100 times better!

Good little spot that had no one there, plenty of people at the playground but still plenty of space for private picnic groups

Beautiful area to take a walk in. Thank you to those that had the foresight to preserve this area.

Big open space, super lush and green, lots of places for playing and bike jumps. Penny loves the wet grass - make very good pupper perfume. Best in the fluffin' area. 5 paw prints

Generally fabulous with responsible dog owners. However, it just takes that one who allows their big dog off lead without even a collar to run amok through the puppy training school not once, but twice.

Beautiful trees especially eucalyptus globulous examples. Be great if disc golf course slots in behind all the footy ovals.

Great place for a bit of fresh air and exercise. Some parts of the path are paved, but most are gravel.

This is a lovely place to just sit and enjoy the Yarra running bye. The bushland and the escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It nice to have natures beautiful plants and animals so close to the built up areas of city life.

We wne here for the cross cpuntry aps run. It was muddy at points due to recent rain but other than that it is a delighful area for a run or walking a dog. It is a alive park with plenty of action e.g. Kids playing footy, dogs running around. It is overall a great big park outside of the city.

Always love coming here, charming river and beautiful wetlands with plenty of space to exercise the dog and wildlife watch.
