Warrandyte Stonehouse Cafe

We were a party of 5, and 3 of us became sick shortly after eating. I rang to let them know and the manager was dismissive and didn't offer an apology. Such a shame because the place had a lovely vibe and the waitstaff had been very friendly and attentive.

Absolutely awesome staff. We were offered a table in spite of not having a reservation during the busy early morning rush. Breakfast was really good after the short but high intensity 10km walk. Loved the coffee too

With the nice weather today we decided to go for a light meal and I have heard of this place before so we decided to try it.

Entering the place you are immediately welcomed and greeted with a big welcoming smile. The staff friendliness continuous through the entire experience. You can tell that the management trained the staff well and have focus on exceptional customer service. Thank you.

Now for the food, we orders an Almond croissant, eggs on sourdough with hash browns, French toast and waffle. I tried them all? I did not know which plate I wanted to eat the most as each bite from every plate was amazing.

We sat in the terrace as the weather was nice and the view even nicer.

Definitely coming back to this place again.

Pretty good little road side Cafe food was tasty. Coffee was good. There was heaps of seating for such a small area which is good.

Very disappointingand poor customer service!
I've booked a table for four a few days prior and asked for a table on the balcony. We arrived, the guy (I don't know the name unfortunately but seemed to be barista) was very rude. He didn't welcome us at all, they had not even booked a table although they confirmed over the phone! Eventually we've been given a table outside. Food was alright and the other girls were nice but very busy and not atound. I had a question about smth on the menue, the same guy over the counter refused to help me in a very disrespectful and rude manner! Such a waste of time and money! Never will be back again!

Went there today (15/4) and had a delish Honey Mustard Salad and lovely bottle of Sav. Blanc. Was there for an 80th
Staff were fantastic and catered to our every need.

Great place to grab a coffee and cake before/after doing the Warrandyte River walk. Dog friendly with water bowls by the outdoor tables and ample parking off Warrandyte Rd.

Went with a mate ordered 2 Chocolate milk shakes & a cake each. The milk shakes arrived. NOT COLD MILK!
So I said to my mate I’m going to tell them to make me another one with COLD MILK!
He said Don’t worry about it. On my way out I said to the guy who took our money, the milk shakes weren’t cold. He response, must of been made with the milk on the bench. NO SORRY or I’ll make you another one ️ I WON’T come back! It’s a pity Lea wasn’t working that day, he would if sorted it out.

Great little place to stop & unwind with some great menu options & of course good coffee

Great service by friendly and polite team. Extensive menu which has good diversity and is backed up with presentation and quality. Excellent stop for a feed or just a coffee.

I had salad which was drowned in oily vinegary dressing. Wasn't pleasant at all unfortunately. I don't understand how cooks don't taste test. The leaf chai latte was lovely though.

Poor attitude and lack of respect. Asked for a meal from the kid’s menu for a 100yo senior with poor eyesight. Offered to pay extra. Wait staff were sympathetic but kitchen staff refused. How hard would it have been to put two kid’s serves of fish and chips on a plate and charged accordingly?

Fantastic setup for covid safety. Lots of tables on a gorgeous veranda, undercover and sheltered from the wind but plenty of ventilation. Delicious food, lovely views from the balcony, but the real highlight was the absolutely delightful staff, who were kind, friendly, attentive, helpful and charming.

The Staff were lovely and my meal was delicious and presented beautifully.

Since when do restaurants start charging for warm water? They charged $1.50 extra for a cup of warm water!

Food was below average & took forever to come out. Too salty

We came on a Friday around noon. It was fairly busy. The service was friendly and efficient. The tables outside on the back varandah are the best tables, looking out to bushland down to the river. The food came out in reasonable time, & the quality was excellent. The loose leaf Chai was lovely. The prices reasonable for the excellent quality of the food. All in all highly recommended.

I was lucky enough to have my wedding here, the rustic venue was perfect. The food incredible, the staff so helpful, friendly and made my event stress free. The for those with dietary requirements couldn’t believe the options and how they weren’t stuck with the usual vegetarian dishes at weddings.

Those who were vegetarian not only were able to join everyone in the side dishes but the dish they had made up for them was pretty special and delicious all coming from them!

I still have people talking to me about the lemon potatoes and calamari, I don’t think I’ve had calamari anywhere as great as here! Lamb on spit, cooked perfectly! And moreeeeeee!

Very delicious food and a lovely place to eat at, however the steak sandwich could use at least double the amount of steak in it.

Amazing vibe, amazing service, amazing food. No complaints, got the Nutella waffles and loved them. I would probably ask for a bit less Nutella next time but that’s just a personal preference as I started to be overwhelmed with chocolate towards the end. Was really filling and I only got through 3 quarters of it before tapping out but it was really good. The cute, cabin vibe that made me believe I was out exploring was so refreshing and the prices were really good, to the point I was surprised how much I got for what I paid. 100% would recommend and definitely going back again.
