Warran Glen Nursery & Gift Shop reviews
64Fantastic nursery, well laid out, very friendly and helpful staff. Gets very busy so get in early
Lovely gift shop, beautifully presented and lovely gardens set in a gorgeous location. Made the customer service SO much more disappointing; disengaged would be an understatement ️
Its like a walk in the park. They have a nice cafe and a river right next to it. A great collection if pots and plants among many other things. Would recommend anyone.
Beautiful nursery with a lovely creek with a weir running through it. The autumn colours are just fantastic. Helpful staff and a wide range of plants and a highly developed gift and home wares shop.
A family member of mine would like to leave a Cafe review-
Recently visited your cafe. After the treacherous uphill climb, was presented with a very mediocre breakfast at a ridiculous cost.
We were seated on freezing cold plastic chairs in winter, no cushions or warmth!
Sorry, but never again.
Fantastic range of plants and gifts, friendly staff together with great food
highly recommended
I’ve been doing a fair bit of traveling around Victoria over summer, and while venturing out to the Yarra Valley, I came across one of the most tranquil and picturesque cafes in this great State!
Warran Glen Cafe is nestled behind a gorgeous nursery, and is surrounded by lush greenery with a bridge crossing over a small lake-filled gully as an entrance.
We opted for the outdoor alfresco dining experience, so we could soak up the surrounds on a glorious summer’s day. Being fully licensed meant I was able to enjoy a glass of red with my lunch, which was the special of the day: Crispy Skin Salmon with a wasabi sauce. I was intrigued to see it came with lemon and pepper ‘pearls’, which popped in my mouth, offering just the right amount of citric acidic to cut through the fish, and providing a pleasant sweet/salt contrast. The skin was super-crisp, and the fish was just the right pink tone with a moist meaty texture.
They also have a selection of homemade frittatas and cakes, which highlights the rustic nature dining in the country brings, and something I was all too familiar with when growing up as a child.
Ordered scone, come with tiny small amount of cream, asked for another serve of cream and ask for extra $1? What a ripped off!
Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Just make sure you ask for a table away from the playground.
Our order was lost by the kitchen staff, after 45 minutes we let them know and they said they would "investigate". 15 minutes later we had to follow up again only to find out they had done absolutely nothing. One star is too much for this management. Unfortunately there is no option of zero stars.
Sunny cafe with friendly staff. Food was very tasty and came quickly. The lovely surrounds made for a nice walk after breakfast.
Review is for the cafe: Beautiful place, love the setting, the close-to-nature feeling, lots of greenery. Lunch was delicious, between us had the pork belly, slow cooked lamb, flathead with copie and the wg beef burger.good portions, tasty. Followed by with good coffee
Very beautiful nursery cafe had a really relaxing time walking around the garden and over the water bridges which had 3 in total. Also looking through the store which had lots of interesting products to choose from.
Cafe sits just above the water below so you can see the garden below.
Beautiful food to choose from as wrell.
Highly recommend everyone to visit.
Looks like a. Great place.but left after 10 mins due to chaos.
We were sitting down at our table and two siblings were fighting therefore screaming.more kids RUNNING in the cafe.one fell and started crying.the other kicked my bag whilst running. And the third kept bumping into the chair. I thought I was at maccas
So we left without ordering.
Can't say I'll return.
Wonderful way to spend the day with mum, a little shopping, fabulous variety. A little lunch, tasty options from a tad indulgent to healthy choices. A spot garden pot shopping on the way out. If you can't get a little something there, you simply can't get a little something anywhere.
This place is great if you arent a Hort, and you like gardening as a hobby, or you like have a nice garden someone else does the work in.
Plants were very expensive, help was scarce (if you didnt dress like you had a Benz), and it was full of soaps and trinkets not related to gardening.
However, the little river, ducks, trees and cafe area was worth visiting
We had a substantial & tasty breakfast. They also do a great coffee (exactly to personal request). The cafe staff were friendly and super efficient. The cafe surroundings were beautiful, calm, & relaxed.
And then onto the nursery - plants, pots, stunning artwork, chimes, furniture.heaps more. And then to the giftshop. OMG. Amazing stuff. Loads of homewares. They even sell clothes, shoes, bags, scarves, & jewellery. Warran Glen is a must visit.
Brunch was amazing.quick service and beautiful fresh food. Love the gift shop. It has a huge range of gifts and homewares. Has become my go to place for birthday ideas
Lovely place but the food is bad and over priced. Risotto was watery and was served cold. Perhaps leftovers? Salomon was ok green beans were old and stringy on the specials board. This was my first and only time I’ll eat there again.
When we arrived for a nice relaxed lunch yesterday, we found a dog locked in a car in the Sun. The windows were down somewhat, but the dog was panting and not looking all that comfortable. We proceeded into the nursery and asked for the manager. He eventually came over and his response was "we don't have a PA system - there are a lot of people here, you can go around and ask them all if you like"! What the! He then went back to the counter, serving people with a smile, like nothing had happened. We were floored! He seemed bemused and definitely didn't feel that he had a duty of care: - (Appalling!
For all those concerned; we waited and a woman did return to her car -
and received a piece of my mind. She will be reported.
