Warkop Richmond - Coffee & Sandwich

Have been with these guys since they started. And they have consistently and reliably been our top go-to lunch spot. Offerings at this Richmond outlet have not changed much as kaya toast is still on the menu. But the pork belly is not. It is available from the city outlet with more coffee and drinks choices there. I'm sad as I want to try out those options as well.

Can not and will not fault @warkop_melbourne 's Beef Brisket with pickles and rendang sauce. The final stop on today's toasties tour of Melbourne, the abundance of brisket slices sandwiched in pickles and that beautiful, beautiful thick rendang sauce was the top toastie pick of the day. So much flavour! Thank you @warkop_melbourne you are doing very good things! The Toasteam and toasties tour punters will be back to sample your other creations.

Great fish sandwich! Delicious take on a Fillet o fish with an Indonesian flavour. We also ordered the beef sandwich but couldn’t get much of a rendang flavour so that is probably something that could be skipped.

Overall a good sandwich option but I was hoping for more. I would have liked to have gotten a larger serving size for the price but inflation is real so I understand that businesses need to cover their costs.

Lovely coffee and very tasty Sandwich. I got the chicken one. The service is so friendly. A perfect option to take away or enjoy warm in a Lil table. Def Will be back

For such a small place they pack some serious sandwich punch!
Finally got to try them out today and didn't disappoint.
I had the beef, it was tasty, well toasted, just enough cheese and even came with a dipping sauce, amazing!
Got to chat a little with the owner, Andy, great to understand about the stores background plus the new CBD site.

Highly recommended by myself, plus it seemed to be a favourite with the locals, plenty of people popping in while I was there.

It was a rainy day and I was looking through the car window to see what to order, Andy came out and handed us a menu! Extremely friendly staff, will be coming back again.

Chose the fried chicken instead of rendang. Huge piece of fried chicken but the chicken wasn’t fresh and the marinades were still raw in some parts of the chicken. I liked crumbs and pickles they used. Won’t order the fried chicken again but will try the beef rendang next time. This review is for Warkop in the CBD.

Found this quiet sandwich joint called @warkop_melbourne in Richmond! A former Navi sous chef opened this one, putting Indonesian-inspired flavours into sandwiches.

The absolute star is their Chicken Taliwang Sandwich. I'm not familiar with Taliwang spice, but my gf, who is, said it was spot on - hella authentic. I personally wanted it to more pungent and distinctive - but understandable considering their target audience. They nailed the perfect balance.

Rare Beef Roll was also pretty good - they chucked tons of beef into a roll which is a huge plus in my book. Honestly tasted like I was having a bowl of Beef Pho in the form of a sandwich. My GF loved their kaya toast! Soft brioche bread with gooey coconut jam - you just can't hate on those bad boys.

A special shout out to their "Bazzinga Sauce" ($2). That secret sauce really brought out more flavours from all the sandwiches we had. Wished it was complimentary though.

Went there for breakfast, got a bacon egg sandwich and it was amazing, thought it was just going to be a classic muffin but there was a sauce in there and it topped it off. Really gave it some flavour I would definitely get it again. Was a good temp worth the wait.

The coffee was great, it was quick and helped with the short wait on the food.

The service was really good and they were friendly. (I’m a little biased, love you bro)

Really good tostie sandwiches made fresh.a little on the expensive side at $17 each. Got the rendang one which we expected to have more rendang flavour but still overall very good

One of the best cafe in Melbourne! No doubt about it. Love the coffees and all the sandwiches. Definitely will be back again soon

Very cool and unique sandwitch place.

Its one of those place where they change menu quite often. So dont bank on finding exactly what you see on the photos.

But know that you'll get something descent.

I got the Gado2 Sandwitch, could use a tad bit more sweetness and salt for my taste, but bread were very nice and fluffy and the ammount of filling is just right.

I tried out the new Warkop on 13 Collins St. I was disappointed in my sandwich not only did I get the wrong order but, The price is quite high for what it was.

2 years in and the guys are still pumping out amazing sandwiches, coffee and other treats. The fillet of fish was amazing today. So happy you had this special available from Friday!

We came here because we had heard this was the best sandwich shop in Melbourne and it did not disappoint. The hype is justified, the beef sandwich has set a new bar in excellence. Staff are super nice too and it's probably for the best I don't live too close or I would be here all the time.

Wow! Warkop is an absolute hidden gem.
Indonesian sandwiches are a game changer and it’s an excellent alternative if you want a change from the classic reuben sangas.

Chicken sandwich with Taliwang spice, green tomato and rocket - YUM as. I’ve never had a sanga like this and this was one to remember.

V keen to try their classic beef reuben with rendang sauce next.

I literally only discovered this place by accident was I was walking down an alleyway and saw a line outside this shop. And to my pleasant surprise, it was a sandwich shop
