Warburton Railway Station reviews
4Warburton is a nice little preserved station, which has native vegetation and amazing artwork on the side of the platform. It's a great place to take in the fresh air and the history of the former station. Unfortunately the line was closed down and was transformed into a long rail trail. The tracks are no longer in place, but the sign is still on the platform.
Well done to the planners, implementers and maintainers. This well conceived rail trail covers all bases. There are regular seats, water stations and toilets. There is a mix of shady and open terrain and a couple of cafes just to round out a pleasant experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride and look forward to doing more Victorian trails if this is the benchmark
We need the railway line back due to increased traffic on the Warburton highway.
Great destination pitstop if you've ridden up the rail trail. A little expensive but very nice place to park, eat and leave the bike to explore town.
