Wantirna Mall Charcoal Chicken

Absolutely terrible chips. At the least a charcoal chicken joint should be able to cook some good chips. Way undercooked and under-salted. And they were tiny stubs. Will not be going back

$19 for gyros and salad combo - not even a drink or chips with that price point.cold meat, plain greek salad with no dressing at all. Too expensive, unsatisfactory and not worth the time.

Food is great but ordering and collecting is chaos, they read out an entire order instead of a name or order number.

Spare a thought for the poor chickens that go to this place to be murdered a second time round.
Worst charcoal chicken. Dry and tasteless. No seasoning on the skin, was like the poor thing had a plastic coating.
Salad was sad, looked like it was made a week prior.
Chips undercooked and smothered in salt. A minute longer in the fryer would have made them better.
One star because I can't leave none.

Fantastic friendly staff, always smiling. They work great together the lady and man in there. I watched them whilst our chicken was cooking and really enjoyed how they didn't have to speak but everything worked.
Loved the salads, and them burgers look delicious, I'll definitely try them next visit.

My chicken was pink inside and oily absolute disgusting place i had food poisoning after would not recommend

Came in around 3ish the other day after lunch rush and there was one old looking chicken left over. Asked for a fresh one if possible and was told to wait 5 minutes so we did. Took it home and had the driest chicken I've eaten in a long time. Either gave us the old chicken or the fresh one was dry as hell. Either way, very disappointed. Such a shame as I'd been looking forward to trying this place for ages. Better off getting chicken from the IGA next door

Loved this chicken it was moist with a Smokey flavour outside, chips and gravy were good also. Fast efficient service but most important fresh and tasty. Thank you I highly recommend and I will return back.

Our favourite Charcoal chicken place. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, the chips are delicious and the gravy is amazing. The staff are very friendly and the store is nice and clean. We usually order the $33 family pack that has a whole chicken, large chips and bottle of drink. Just need to add a large gravy for $9. Perfect Sunday night dinner.

Sumptuous grilled chicken, smell of which, even a strict vegetarian like myself almost couldn't resist (but i did of course). Truth be told, my wife did succumb to it. It wouldn't hurt to have chicken once in a while she says. The stuffing they put inside the grilled chicken is in itself a dish by itself, looking so irresistibly delicious.

I tried to get in contact with the restaurant which was made impossible, I ordered the chicken pack with my choice of salad and chips, i didn't get the choice of salad so I've attempted to to contact the restaurant the customer service by Menulog was absolutely atrocious, couldn't get through to the restaurant and to be told my order has already been picked up by the menu log driver, my order has arrived covered with egg salad which I'm allergic to and did not order, so I can't eat any of my meal at all, I tried contacting the restaurant again after finally speaking with management I was dismissed completely and blamed for their poor service and then they continue to blame menu log and myself for their incompetence and told I should have used uber eats not Menulog and there is nothing they can do to fix this problem now I've wasted money and can't eat any of my contaminated order and have been spoken to like I'm the idiot, absolutely disgusted.

The Lamb in the Souvlaki was burnt & dry & no sauce, one of the worst I've had. Won't be back. A pity, as the previous owners were really good.

Soggy souvlaki. More tomato and lettuce than meat. A dash if sauce. No flavour. Chicken was dry. Had to repeat my order 3 times. More interested in chatting than cooking. Chips were so salty could not eat them. Really disappointed. Not going back.

New owners don't know how to provide customer service. Inflated custom orders from $50 (previous owners to fill provided container) to $70 (3/4 same container! Ignorant to say the least!

VERY Disappointed, previous owners were the best at their craft. New owners serve dry food, egg salad was fresh although Chicken was dry and tasteless. I won't be back. When i explained and showed owners the dry state of the chicken, no offer of a refund or understood the concept of an apology. Not a good attitude to have. See ya.

Fantastic roast chicken, lamb souvlaki was the nicest one I've had from this area, sides are fresh, have a sore tummy from eating way too much but I couldn't help myself. Best chicken shop in the area by far.

A really great lunch. The staff were super helpful catering to my off menu requests perfectly. The chips were seasoned perfectly and both the lamb and chicken souvas were delicious. Was the first time I'd been in and I will definitely return

Chicken was dry and tasted off. Coleslaw tasted like it was made days ago. Souvlaki was dry and had barely any meat, just salad and was soggy. Rang to discover they are under new management.such a shame, the food used to be amazing. Never again!

When I’m at 8pm told they close at 830pm on a Friday night.extremely inconvenient especially for those looking to grab a quick late meal. Didn’t even have chips for us. Please stay open later!
