Wantirna College reviews
14The problem is that the school has to shut down toilets due to vaping or inappropriate interactions. Like, the doors are literally closed, you cant even ask a teacher to open it for you so youd have to go to a far one.
A terrible school making fun of students. Do not recommend unless you want to set your kid up for failure. Lots of students leave everyday feeling depressed and sad because of the teachers
I love this school and I haven't even been here for 4 weeks teacher are so nice and you learn a lot.
This place makes me physically and mentally sick. I don't see how you can stuff up something as simple as a school but amazingly you did almost everything wrong. Thankfully there was a saving grace for this hellish place, I find that the best experience Is walking home from school, but alas even the best moments don't last for as soon as I step through my door I am reminded of homework and that tomorrow is another day. Avoid this hole at all costs! Do not recommend!
I sent my daughter to Wantirna College from year 7-12. I found the teachers to be very approachable and receptive. Teachers Ian Bristow and Miss Mingos encouraged and inspired my child in the area of Maths and Science as that was her passion. She went on to become a Maths Science teacher herself and her career path was all due to Wantirna's great leadership. Highly recommend this school and their academic excellence. Thanks for nurturing my child's education and making her career path so happy!
The school is good, teachers, students. But what id like to see improved is bullying, and mostly being more serious.
Very good food brings joy to kids mostly 5 year olds with money their parents gave, very god for five year olds
Great teacher and students, they are super friendly, I recommend you to go to Wantirna college.
Teachers dont really put in effort and some are unfair i have had a bad experience at this school there is not really any bulling and it does get sorted but i still dont recomend sending you kid here
Great school recommend it to anyone and has a large area where u can eat and play and very large amount of fantastic teachers love it.
Honestly, It is a great school with great teachers, my VCE experience here was fantastic, and all the teachers were very supportive of those that genuinely wanted to succeed. The only reason why there are 1 star reviews are because they are made by delinquent children who just hate school and learning in general, but use Wantirna College as a scapegoat for their own failures in life.
I went to this High School and I would not recommend sending your child here. The teachers are so bad.the quality of their effort is shocking. If you care about your childs learning.go to another school.
Fantastic year 7 program, so welcoming. Meeting new people and finding your way around the school is super easy after the first few weeks. As the years go by the changes start to get challenging but there is a wellbeing program that can help out also the more experienced teachers encourage you to come talk to them if you need anything. This year a bunch of new teachers enrolled so it's making school a little more difficult than the previous years because they're only just getting use to teaching and dealing with certain behaviors.
So many amazing activities and roles such as production, sports excellence, music lessons, SRC and leadership roles (homegroup captian, middle years captain, school captain etc.) There are so many opportunities at this school. I believe the biggest problem at this school is the lack of respect towards teachers and students. By doing a code of co-operation at the start of every year is not going to do anything and it hasnt worked at all, this also goes for telling everyone to respect everyone, you need gain respect not tell people to do it.
Overall a really great school, it definitely has its moments and i reccomend enrolling. There's a few things it needs to work on but i strongly believe these problems will be fixed in the years to come.
The Home Economic kitchens are neglected and pose a safety hazard. Trails of ants are the norm, and a flawed system where the cleanliness of your child’s ‘learning’ environment is decided by the previous students of the classroom constitute to a ordeal. If you care for the health and hygiene of your children, I’d advised them to avoid the program.
