Very Knowledgeable and helpful staff. They were able to recommend several free camping options in the area.
Also if you collect patches they sell a Ned Kelly styled one here.

Great and informative service. Lovely lady to talk to and told me exactly what I needed to know. She seems to have great pride in her town which was awesome to see. Thank you for your help:)

A few days ago we called unto INfo
centre re road closures as travelling from Beechworth to Lakes Entrance today. What a great experience! An extremely helpful young lady marked the proposed new route on map, suggested where to stop, brought up the Snowcam to show us the Hotham snowed area which was impassable for us. She was a great ambassador for Wangaratta! Wished I had asked her name. We are currently travelling towards Yea.thankyou. Lyn & Ian. Bundaberg Qld.

The Wangaratta Visitor Centre is outstanding. Very well set up with a power of resources. The lady in charge was wonderful. This place is an exemplar not to be ignored.

The Information Centre was our first stop and this was a welcoming warm helpful place. Two beautiful ladies went out of there way to provide the most useful and memorable advice. We could not thank them enough. To the warm lady at the Service Station the kindnessand warmth will not be forgotten.
We loved the people and loved the place. Thank you @Wangaratta you shine

Place to go if you need to know anything about Wangaratta or the surrounding areas. Loads of maps and pamphlets. Heaps of info about the Kelly Gang.

I came in today right near closing. Melissa was so helpful and gave me great information. She even helped me out with local off leash dog parks. It was past closing time but Melissa did not rush me and even let me see the exhibition. I cannot thank Melissa enough! So full of knowledge of the area. And a happy and polite manner.

The staff were amazing! We popped in just as a tour was starting, and although the centre was very busy, they were still very helpful and attentive. They even highlighted on a map what the best route was and gave us a few local tips. Great people to represent the town and the region.

I'm always pleasantly surprised by how good these visitor centres are. Wangaratta's centre is no different. They had a cool art exhibit on and lots of Ned Kelly information that my son loved.

The easiest way to get a handle on Wangaratta and the King Valley Region is to pay a visit to the visitor information centre on Murphy Street.

The building, Wangaratta’s historic former library, is a sight of its own, with a pair of pediments held up by Ionic pilasters, flanking a first floor gallery.

As well as being somewhere to get hold of leaflets and brochures, the centre has interesting interpretive displays, and regularly hosts short-term exhibitions connected to the area.

There’s a treasure trove of gift ideas, from handmade fashion to artisanal olive oil, and the helpful staff will be happy to offer any advice to help you get more from your trip.
