I found the hospital under staffed and not much knowledge to do with patient care. And Dr chichowithz showed not care before and after surgery not enough very poor professional. If that's what you call it

I've just had a right total hip replacement and went into the hospital not thinking about the procedure and recovery at all I just wanted it done and pain gone. Sincere thanks to Dr K and her team, special thanks to the daily care and support I received from all Nurses and especially Shauvaun (trainee) who showed up daily when she wasn't even working in the section of the hospital I was in, her committment to her future career is a credit to her and the hospital. Thanks heaps

All staff from front desk to surgery were fantastic. I was informed of all aspects of my procedure and was very relaxed. I could not have been in better hands

Lovely hospital well maintained
Lovely single rooms for day surgery
Staff efficient and mostly warm and friendly
The only issue is that there isn’t any places in the hospital or very close to grab a snack
There is a lovely tea room
But when you travel a distance the driver or family need to eat
Even if the hospital sold sandwiches or let people know that there isn’t anywhere to buy food in the close proximity before arrival, so they can bring their own
I had to walk half a klm which isn’t far but in 37 C heat walking back uphill was very hard
To drive would have been just as hot the car wouldn’t have had time to cool down

I wish to publicly express my appreciation for the treatment and care I received as a result of a total hip replacement I had carried out at the Wangaratta Private Hospital.
All medical practitioners and nursing staff acted with competence and compassion. At all times I felt confident that my recovery was in good hands and all actions were carried out in my best interest.
The facilities were impeccably clean and well maintained and meals were adequate.
The entire process from pre-admission administration through to discharge was handled without any complications and I am grateful that an establishment of such high quality exists in Wangaratta.

Caring, professional staff who have a great mentoring and support approach when handing over at shift time. All staff took the time to personslly get to know me as a patient and to make sure I felt safe, confident and happy with my care. I was encouraged to ask questions and discuss my treatment. All up a great team right across the board.

When dealing with critically ill patience, the place lacks interest for saving lives. Depending on who is on duty depends on quality of care. Terribly understaffed.

I will never forget the lack of attention to care when the 'nurse' arrived with a little tray of morphine just after the drs stopped the life support on my father. Their response was: "Oh you are too late. " There was not attention to patient care. The nurses and doctor/specialist didn't look particularly interested in the situation; more interested in finishing up and moving on! Although rather very keen to find out if there was any chance for organ donation? ! Seriously? TERRIBLE!

Too much hospital politics. People around you can hear you and understand you!

Need more respect for your patience and quality patient care! This hospital has gone downhill! APPAULING
