Wang Wang Dumpling reviews
56Used to be awesome but since lockdown it has gone downhill a lot. No longer really worth visiting
Food's good, service is basically non existent, sitting is uncomfortable and the place was cold. I think people
are better off getting takeaway.
Make sure to double check with the staff your order. You order one thing and then they bring something else. Upon confronting they’ll accept their mistake and start giving excuses. Also the staff was having a really hard time speaking in english
Don't know what has happened, used to be great, but the food was clearly microwaved, and not for long enough - very disappointed and won't be returning. Such a pity as was our favourite for many years.
We came from Adelaide for my 47th birthday. I have to say that I try lots of different Asian cousins in my adult life. But nothing like this. It was the best food ever. From the Laksa, to teriyaki chicken rice, from the dumplings to special requests for my little one. Everything was absolutely delicious. The best dinner ever. Thank you for everything. Xxxx
This place needs a deep clean and less tables and chairs.
The high chair I put my baby in was grubby and greasy. I looked around and all the chairs were not clean.
Had to order myself at the counter as uber seemed more important.
Didn't offer water didn't ask how the food was didn't collect our dishes until dessert was brought out.
So bad.
Food was ok.
Nice small restaurant, friendly and welcoming. Good ambience, friendly service, and enjoyed the vegetarian options.
Come here every few months to catch up with a friend. Food is always great and so reasonably priced! Sesame toast and any of the dumplings are great. Their chilli oil is some of the best I’ve had!
Ordered pan fried prawn & chicken dumplings, prawn & chicken wonton with chilli, and fried kway teow for dinner. It's the worst dumplings, wonton and fkt that I've ever had.
There is no prawn in either the dumplings or wonton, that's a first! The wonton soak up all the chilli sauce and the skin is soggy! The fried kway teow is no where near a proper one, at least get the ingredients right, even the noodles is wrong. End up having cup noodle instead.
Never again!
Some of these reviews can really put you off buying from here! Look coming from a clean and hygienic person I can honestly say the food just passes as average but you probably wouldn't buy from here again if your a massive food lover. If your looking for above 4 stars you would have to eat at a quality restaurant in the city maybe but honestly it's not as bad as these reviews make it out to be. Their downgrade would be lack of taste and prices too high other than that O. K food for coburg area!
The only place to go for dumplings in Coburg. Big and thick dumplings and so cheap. Very good value.
Really yummy food with nice service. The beef on sizzling plate was nicely velveted and wasn’t chewy whatsoever. The prawn wontons in sichuan sauce were delicious and had heaps of flavour. I felt the pan fried pork buns could have had a bit more flavour like some ginger through the mixture however they were still pretty tasty. The special fried rice was plentiful and great value for money!
Good spot if you’re looking for a succulent Chinese meal
Was a regular. Not any more. Food was bad and when we asked we were told they are “trying out new cooking techniques”. Really sad to say this - avoid
It was okay. Fair 3+ out of 5
I expected tastier food with more flavor. The food was just ordinary. Plus the price is too high for such little portions. I will definitely not come again. But as I said it wasn't bad.
We have been customers for over 6 years. In the past the food quality was excellent. Our order today was very disappointing, flavourless, bland, over salted, undercooked food. Worst chinese I have eaten. The service was quick the quality was terrible. Won't be going back again.
Feels like they have no chef anymore. Thinking they can serve steamed microwave rice as special fried rice and microwaved vegetables with packet sauce for $20 and customers won’t notice. Sad.
Very quick service, everything cooked nicely, great flavours, looking forward to my next visit.
Chicken & prawn dumplings
Fried wontons with Sichuan sauce (particularly nice!)
Eggplant & green beans in oyster sauce
Rice
Tsing Tao beer
I've had a few dishes here and I enjoyed the Mapo Tofu the most. Dumplings have quite thick wrappers which I don't like. Beef brisket noodle soup was good. I think prices here a bit high considering the location.
Very happy. Grabbed a quick dinner on the way to the drive in cinema, first time eating here. Wang Wang pan fried dumplings were GREAT. Noodle dishes were fresh tasting with plenty of veg, prawns and meat. Not like mind blowing but just really really good.
Low food quaility! All around cheap food with high price tags. Also there vegetable dumplings are the green digusting ones DO NOT BUY
