Wally Tew Reserve reviews
40 This park has everything you could want in a playground and more. The park is equipped with various climbing structures, swings, and even a flying fox for the adventurous types.
For those who prefer a more relaxed activity, there is a big oval nearby where you can bring a ball and kick it around. The playground is also fenced off, making it a safe place for children to play.
If you need to take a break or use the restroom, there are toilets nearby. Additionally, if you need any picnic supplies, there is a major grocery shop just a short walking distance away. If you're feeling hungry or thirsty, there are also several cafes and eateries located just a short walk from the grocery store.
Overall, the kids had great experience at this park and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and family-friendly outdoor activity.
Today at Wally Tew Reserve, was the Knox Festival in full swing. Thousands of families enjoying this annual free event on a great location.
Great park especially for the Christmas carols by candlelight and definitely the playground was nice for the child to have fun while is fenced off.toilet was near by and space was big for a picnic too
I came here for the first time because of a recommendation on reddit! It’s very cool and there are massive fields to explore with your dog!
A great space ticked away off Burwood Highway, a great variety of equipment and some funky custom designs I haven't seen before. Nicely fenced and secured for small kids
The playground is great! Like a work of art with interesting equiptment that look like sculptures, unfortunately was completly trashed and covered in litter, all surrounds and especially the water embankments are trashed too and saw a fair bit of broken glass. There's a library close by also where the staff are very nice and helpful.
Lovely facilities, clean, safe toilets.
Only concern is the amount of tradie vehicles from st Joe's clogging car park.
Guess they've got to park close to job.
A fenced in playground with excellent equipment, plenty of shade & great fun for kids of all ages.
I think its awesome i love riding my bike past great for your kids nothing that can hurt them there unless it's on them being silly
Great space, good equipment, plenty of parking and shade, BBQ's are in good condition. Not normally that busy.
Fantastic gated playground with heaps of equipment and shaded areas. Lots of seats for adults to loaf while awaiting the kids.
Public restrooms, drinking fountain, public BBQs and waste bins.
Always LOVE this playground. It was a special treat this time as there were very few people there too.
There is something for the little kids and something for the bigger kids and it's always a plus when there is a public toilet nearby, which there is. This spot is always a fave of ours!
By birth increase or by downsize you can alow a suburb to provide a safe environment for your child to grow in,
Nice little park, but the council could tidy it up a bit, looks a bit neglected, despite being busy.
I had an amazing time coming here at 3am in the morning seeing 12 year olds on caps.they were all collapsing around me, I had an absolute ball.would recommend to come here late at night to see the true Wally Tew in all of its glory.
Great local playground that is fully fenced. Plenty of parking and shady trees. Has BBQ facilities and toilets too.
Great park and play space. Well suited for toddlers and young kids. Lots of space, well spread out, sitting spaces are well sheltered and/or under tree shade.good toilet facilities, water fountain, barbecue (could have 2-3 more barbecues though). The slides and see-saw are quite unique.two pairs of swings. The single zip-line is good one, lots of fun. Has a liberty swing for the wheel-chair bound. Lots of parking. One of the many great green spaces in the Knox region. Well maintained. Except, the water fountain present inside the play space does not have enough pressure to be used. Hopefully it is repaired soon. Highly recommended. The Knox council do a great job.
Such an amazing play space, suitable for all age groups. I love how its fully fenced, giving you the piece of mind that they can't run off when you are watching more then 1 child. It has BBQ facilities and a toilet near by, we have had many social gatherings at the park.
Lovely, enclosed playground. With easy climb/walk up equipment for the littler ones. Only downfall is that some parents don't respect other kids/the playground, by leaving rubbish everywhere.
Will be and recommend bringing a rubbish bag to pick up trash and throw in the bins just outside of the playground gates.
Great park for children. Fully fenced with safety gate. Really varied and interesting play equipment. Lots of beautifully maintained plant life. Clean equipment, rides and seating. Good crowd here, mostly parents of young children. Lots of parking.
