Walk Melbourne Tours reviews
31Monique had such a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne and her selections for macarons, coffee, gelato, chocolate, banh mi, dumplings, and cocktails were diverse and top notch. A truly wonderful way to experience one of the more unique cities of the world. If I were to use one word to describe Monique’s tour, I’d have to borrow an Australian colloquialism: LEGEND!
Awesome, knowledgeable guide who made the tour fun. I’m recommending this to everyone I know.
Very good tour from Monique.
Excellent knowledge in regards to coffee and Melbourne city. Super nice deliverance and attitude to everyone.
I highly recommend.
Thanks Monique for such a brilliant foodie tour of Melbourne today. So informative with fabulous food and drink stops along the way. Totally recommend
Monique took us on a tour that was so much more than I was expecting! It was a history lesson, as well as an introduction to Melbourne architecture, iconic events, and the influential people who helped grow this beautiful city. As for the food and drinks…there is plenty, it’s all delicious, and you are taken on a journey with each stop providing its own fascinating story. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough, a wonderful introduction to what Melbourne has to offer.
Best guide ever. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed the funny jokes Lucky made. I would recommend that tour to everyone who wants to visit Melbourne.
I did the foodie tour just yesterday. Absolutely amazing! Loved meandering through undiscovered little eateries, restaurants, shops and bars. The little treats along the way were absolutely divine! I was surprised too to find that I was another Geelong local to have done a tour like this, I thought I'd be the weird odd one out. Learning about historical areas and facts of Melbourne sites was a huge highlight too.
As I am in a wheelchair. Accessibility is paramount when doing these tours, and Monique definitely took great care with this as well. Big thankyou for a lovely afternoon:)
We had the best day on our Foodie Walking tour, we met some lovely people and thoroughly enjoyed wandering through Melbourne guided by Rita who was very knowledgeable. A great way to explore a city and sample a range of delicious food! A must do whether you are a visitor to Melbourne or locals like we are)
Been on a few tours and this one was the best. Do this tour first and learn melbourne history along with a selection of the unique cafes and restaurants in Melbourne. Accommodating to all dietary requirements including halal. Monique was amazing and friendly. You don't feel rushed and its a sml tour size so you get to meet new friends to explore melbourne with. Amazing Tour - highly recommend it!
We loved our coffee walking tour of Melbourne on Saturday morning. We were on a staycation in the city & Monique took us to places, and showed us parts of Melbourne we had walked past hundreds of times, but never actually ‘seen’ or visited. She is a wealth of knowledge about all types of coffee & gave us a fantastic education on some of the roasting techniques & coffee jargon. Would highly recommend to Melburnians and visitors to our town (& she can also give you some fabulous dumpling recommendations for a post tour lunch!)
Such an enjoyable morning spent strolling Melbourne's lanes and tasting some of the world's best coffee. Monique's commentary was so entertaining and informative, and she made everyone feel warmly welcomed whether they drank coffee or not. Very very highly recommended.
Fantastic tour! We did the foodie tour, with a group of 9 people total. Monique was so friendly and informative, and took us to some delicious spots we would have never discovered on our own. Well worth the price!
Hi, Just wanted to let you know I purchased tickets for my daughter, son in law and two grandsons to do your dumpling tour.
They attended tonight 6/1 and the 11 yr old couldn’t wait to FaceTime me on the way home and excitedly recount the entire evening.
Thank you so much. They all had a ball. Such a great idea for families to experience Melbourne and its history, as well as yummy food.
Congratulations on an excellent service.
We did the coffee lovers tour of Melbourne and it was fabulous. Monique the tour guide was excellent and knew a lot about coffee. She took us to a variety of coffee shops and explained the background and also we had opportunities to try different beans and different styles of coffee. There are also lots of other stories that made this a very entertaining few hours. If you like or love coffee this is a great tour to go on. It was a lot of fun and very enjoyable
Monique was extremely knowledgeable about the whole process of coffee, from farming to roasting and how delicious coffee ends up in our cups. It was an enjoyable way to spend my birthday. My partner surprised me with the walking coffee tour and it made my day! We are both coffee lovers but this was a nice way to spend a few hours, getting to know a couple of local spots in the CBD, the roasters, history of coffee in Melbourne and about the farmers across the world. Highly recommend Monique, she's professional and passionate which makes the learning experience more enjoyable. Not just a job for her but one of lifes passions!
Monique took us through the history of coffee in Melbourne along with facts from farming to my palate and everything between. The tour took us to some of our hidden gems in my home town. I can't recommend this tour enough. Thank you for a terrific afternoon full of learning, great coffee and not to mention fantastic company.
We took the Melbourne Coffee Lovers Walk in January 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience which took us through the history and culture of coffee in Melbourne. We stopped at a range of cafes where we learned about coffee trends, tried different blends and bonded over our shared appreciation for caffeine. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and inclusive, making for a very pleasant morning which the whole group enjoyed. With things still a bit uncertain in Australia due to changes related to Covid-19, the tour guide was prepared and acted in accordance with the current guidelines, making everyone feel at ease. If you are looking to get back into the city and to grow your appreciation for our coffee culture, I thoroughly encourage people to join one of these tours. We will definitely be looking at the other tours run by this company in the future. Thanks for having us along!
A very informative and friendly tour, learnt a lot. Also some hidden gems in the city! Would definitely recommend to other coffee tragics such as myself.
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Monique. The food stops on the tour were interesting, full of local flavor and a joy to taste. Our guide Monique did an excellent job of orienting us to Melbourne and it’s varied history and cultures. She shared with us top notch recommendations for our evening plans and even into Sydney. We stopped at Short Stop Donuts and explored several donut and coffee options there. She is a foodie’s foodie and we enjoyed her immensely. Five gold. Doesn’t get any better! Thanks again Monique!
The tour was fun and well planned out, with historical and contemporary highlights and not too much walking. The food choices were excellent and plentiful - I was stuffed by the end, but not uncomfortably so. The macarons in particular were phenomenal. Our tour guide, Monique, was informative and entertaining, offered great suggestions and quips about Melbourne, was adaptive to the needs of the group, and very generous with her time. Highly recommend, and as a (newer) local, I plan to go again when I host friends/family from back home.
