Wagyu Fun reviews
22Food is amazing and love it. Was bored eating same test food everywhere. Its really different here.
I ordered Yakuniku grill packaging here last night. It was interesting because it was said that I could bake it at home, but the charcoal and packaging included inside were attached, so there was almost a fire in the house. Where should I report this that sell such dangerous food? When I asked the owner of the restaurant, he told me to report it to the police, and he didn't get any compensation. I and my family who wanted to
Very delicious wagyu joint. Their sliced raw wagyu just melts on your tongue, bursting with buttery rich flavours. It is that good!
Healthy quick eat. We had the teriyaki beef and wagyu steak in a bowl with rice and endaname beans. Both versions of beef were beautifully cooked and lightly seasoned. Both dishes came with side dishes of watermelon, miso soup, seaweed and poached egg. We also had the takoyaki. Definitely a place to return to in the future. Only 1P parking in the carpark behind the restaurant. 2P along the road. Small restaurant.
Solid Japanese/Korean offerings. I had the wagyu kimchi tofu soup: the serving size was generous (lots of meat, vegetables and broth), especially with respect to the amount of meat. The tofu wasn't as nice as at some other places, nor was the broth especially spicy, but it was enjoyable. I would order it again, especially as someone trying to eat lighter meals (the soup without the rice is filling and lower calorie than many restaurant offerings).
Sorry but that just simply has to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
Wrong on so many levels.the experience, quality of the food, variety, service was all well below par. Far better Korean bbq vendors in Melbourne. Sadly it’s a -minus star from us.
Was attracted to try out this place because of the Wagyu.
Prices were on the higher side.
Beef cuts were reasonable.
Recommend the teriyaki beef bowl.
The beef was very very tasteful.
Also ordered Chicken Kaarage which was alright.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here, especially the Ox Tongue Don. Portion was decent with quite a bit on sliced tongued, well seasoned and cooked. Make sure to ask them to not sprinkle the chilli powder if you don’t want it spicy. Side dishes were delicious. Staff was friendly and prompt. There is parking at the back of the restaurant FYI. Will be back.
Such a little gem! Really delicious, wholesome and homey food. Love the value you get from the sets, and the little side dishes. Wagyu was flavourful and tender, fried chicken was tender and crispy!
At first glance, food appears to be bit on the pricey side. But, reasonable serving size, quality and was tasty.

Great value for money for quality wagyu, ordered the Wagyu Fun Signiture Bento 2 with wagyu cooked in three different ways all full of wonderful flavours, complemented with salmon sashimi and Japanese egg roll, could easily spend over $50 for the same quantity and quality of wagyu at another Japanese restaurant. Would come back soon for sure!
Good service with amazing quality food and reasonable prices. I come here at least once a week. The wagyu beef set is a must try.
Should give it a ZERO star!
Must be careful of their two-price-sets trick: One set of prices appear at the collective menu stuck at the glass window facing road side, while the "real" other prices set is at manager's hand to calculate how much you will have to pay.
The first prices set indicated at the road-side-facing menu has been claimed by the manager as "incorrect" as the menu he claimed "too" old. Weird thing is that if he regarded that menu has been too old, why not removing it?
From law's perspective, is it deceptive or misleading? You make your own judgement! But I believe Cunsumer Affairs Victoria must be very interested in the matter.
I bought a Karaage Chicken Don that comes with sauce, they should be more generous and give double sauce, I paid 20 dollars and it only comes with a small amount of sauce.
Wonderful variety of bento boxes with a wide range of sides to go along with it.
Pretty different menu compared to the city store from memory, which was mainly bento boxes and rice dishes
The holmesglen store has MUCH better presentation, including some noodle dishes too!
The corn cheese spring roll was something I've never seen before and definitely something I wanted to try, probably would have liked a little bit more salt on it but otherwise a wonderful crunch!
The wagyu was top notch as always! Love the different cuts and flavours to it, even just as tasty the next day since I had to take home half of it because the portion is too big for me!
Great price for value and quality ️
Got the takeaway bento set for first time and it was so good, food was well seasoning and tasty, even for the miso soup was very nice as well. I tried raw beef for first time and I like it a lot.
At first I checked on the price, I thought it quite pricey this bento set is cost me $25.80 but after I tried it, I’m totally understand about the price because the quality of the food is so high and big portion that got me in food coma after I finished it all. Highly recommend!
Tasty food. However, staff did not understand what vegan meant. When I ordered one of the vegetable Don’s I asked if it would be vegan and they said yes. It then came served with egg and calamari on the side which was very disappointing. My friend enjoyed her meal however.
Had 9b today - was very happy with the size and quality. I'll probably have it again next time I visit!
Been waiting for a Japanese restaurant to popup on this strip of restaurants. And I'm glad to say I'm happy with the quality of this place, they specialise in wagyu bentos and dons so if you're looking for a wagyu fix this place will satisfy. The price may seem a bit higher for the bentos however you get what you pay for, the wagyu is quality and at the price point they charge it's fair. If you're looking for something cheaper stick to the dons.
The quantity is great and the meals come with a side of salad and miso soup. Will be a regular if the quality continues, recommend this place to anyone who loves some wagyu!
Not much of service, but food is great. Loved the way steak don, wife enjoyed her meal too. Will come back again for sure
