Was a great experience to have! The food was a little pricey but well worth it, as was the atmosphere. Was a little lacking in service but probably due to popularity. Would certainly recommend you give this place a try for the above average occasion.

Customer and Table Service:
Was very good, usual service was provided. Drinks to start, allowed 10 minutes to enjoy the conversation, asked for order, 5 minutes for entrée then 10-15 minutes for mains (very good). Only negative point, we were not checked on throughout the main course, however it was very busy at this time.

Food:
Barramundi Spring Rolls (Entrée), Bang Bang Chicken, Settler's Catch, Grass Fed Porterhouse with Peppercorn sauce, Caramel Praline Cone (Dessert) - Pictured
Couldn't really fault the quality of the food, it was delicious and moreish. With the exception of the Porterhouse which i thought the potato gratin would have been larger, all plates were a good size for an eager stomach. The only exception was we did order a medium-rare, and received a medium-well, it was quite possible that we were misheard. Was still tasty with the sauce.

Atmosphere:
The restaurant has a very large scenic view of the golf course and a nice fine dining atmosphere. Very clean in its black, white and grey with wood grain.

Additional:
There is a dress code, no ripped jeans, no thongs or hats.

Staff are always friendly and efficient, food and drinks are good prices, good variety. Live music always good - sound quality and musicians they choose. No complaints, I'll be back again

The food was excellent. Coffin Bay Oysters were spot on. They were genuine and fresh. Apart from the odd ridiculous nose sticking out above the mask, the staff were good. Green, not entirely logical, or knowledgeable, but courteous, polite and seemingly efficient. All dishes were good. Well thought out menu. Good choices, plenty of choices yet not too many. Chef knew what s/he was doing. Eye fillet was perfectly timed and served rare.
It's unfortunate that this venue is the first one I've chosen to mention this next point:
I honestly fail to see why I should pay restaurant prices and not get table service. Aside from the prices, it's a bistro and should be titled as such. Yes, the food was expertly cooked and presented, but I'd rather go to a restaurant if I'm paying restaurant prices, where I'd get table service and a pleasant atmosphere and decor.
Also (small maybe, but not) : The menu had an error where it states patrons get a choice of wine with the steak, where it means 'wine ju'.
Added to that, when I enquired, they only had one Shiraz to offer anyway, despite a dedicated wine list that listed other wines.
I wouldn't go back, but the food was perfect all round.

Had my mums birthday here today. Couldn’t fault it. Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Amazing location.

The food and service were excellent. The setting with a beautiful view of sunset was also very pleasant.

Food was very nice but had to wait over an hour before being served. Menu had also been reduced from the online menu due to the number of bookings. Would not like to see how long you would have to wait for a meal if the full menu was available. Other patrons also had to wait a similar time. Totally unacceptable when you know how many people are booked and you are running a reduced menu. Booking was on 5th December.

Really delicious food and good value for money.
Fancy setting in the restaurant, really makes you feel special and the views of the golf course and the city lights in the evening are a beautiful backdrop.

Great for functions! Unfortunately if they have large groups you have to eat in the clubhouse when I specifically asked to dine in the Vue! My second husband complained so much last week that we went to Cafe E Cunia in South Yarra instead! Therefore I had to stay home on Saturday night when normally we stay at the Crown Casino and clean up at roulette!

Family went to Mothers Day Buffet. Good selection of food with constant ample supply. Assistance with food advice not far away. Service excellent. Empty dishes were removed promptly and without fuss. We all enjoyed the food and good view over a large part of the golf course with the silhouette of Melbourne City some 60km in the distance.

Very consistent food, drinks and coffee. Very nice staff. The cafe has recently expanded and has an even better outlook.
It can get noisy after a competition and on weekends.
Kids are welcomed and receive a colouring pack on arrival (ish).
They would get 5 stars if the expanded their beer selection, although presently they have Fat Yak stubbies which is fine by me.

A huge thank you to Tim & Emma for making our 10th Wedding Anniversary a day to remember.

After a last minute change of where I had planned to have the Heli pick us up, Tim came through and saved the day.

What a place to live.

We celebrated our sons first birthday here in August and the staff should be commended for their attentiveness and willingness to bend over backwards to make everything as smooth as possible. The food was absolutely fantastic with glowingly positive comments from all our guests. We plan on enjoying food here many times again in the future

Have had several family celebrations here over the years, the most recent one my father's 90th birthday yesterday. We keep coming back because the menu has a very good range; food is well cooked and presented and good value; the restaurant has lots of space, nice views over the golf course and noise levels are not intrusive, which is especially important with several of guests aged in their 80s (there were three large groups yesterday, but we never noticed).

The service was also excellent from the very busy team of staff. Nothing was too much trouble, from serving the birthday cake, taking orders and splitting the bill. We'll definitely be back.

Great location, service good, medium Scotch fillet tough as boot leather and had a lot of fat which was disappointing.

Very disappointing. Pork ribs were dry and the chicken mango was only edible due to the sauce. Chicken was dry. Expected more for the price. Only saving grace was a share platter entree. Staff were friendly hence the one star.

As a resident and member of Settlers Run we quite often eat at the VUE Restaurant and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food nor the service.
After being away on an overseas holiday for 6 weeks my wife and I returned to a new menu with some of our old favourites still existing which was great.
NOW.having sat down and selected the Mixed Platter which we would eat almost every time we dine at the VUE, it came to our table with 30% less food than anytime before, when I questioned the staff I was told that they would find out as to WHY this was the case only to be forgotten about, and a further follow up needed on my behalf.
I was then told this was the "CHEF's" decision as the cost of goods were the reason why the dish had 30% less content, although the cost of the dish certainly didn't reflect this, in actual fact didn't change at all?
I certainly didn't appreciate being taken for a fool as I found it extremely insulting that Staff would expect me to believe that the cost of the goods had increased by 30%?
Its safe to say I would NEVER be ordering the Mixed Platter again.

I regularly eat at Vue Restaurant because I know the food will always be delicious the service is excellent and the scenery is awesome.
