VU Whitten Oval

Changed a lot much better these days still alot more changes coming with construction not finished but worth a visit

Absolutely love this place. So many great memories. We’ve come a long way in the last 30 years

Went to vflw game. Good ground for it. Reasonable number of seats. Spotless toilets. Close to station.

I'm just going to say that vu Whitten oval is a place where we are together with the spirit of fair play with the spirit of good sportsmanship and with the spirit of the man who our beloved oval is named, Vale Teddy Whitten, footballs legend, the club's beating heart and soul, to us the fans of the game, fans of the team that along with us make the club, together at the vu Whitten oval we are Footscray, one eyed and one for all, we are the Footscray Bulldogs, and on our hallowed ground for our day in the sun, the Bulldogs shine and we will always be united, I love Footscray, best place in the world I wreckon.

Looking forward to the upgrade it's getting.

The aflw match played there was awful

The sound of all the generators from the portable lights where so loud it was hard to focus on anything else.

Multiple speakers on the fence blocking the view. And they also where far to loud when music was playing. And also let off a loud hum when they were not playing music

Had a very disappointing lunch. Parma was inedible- couldn’t even cut the chicken with a knife. “ that’s how we get it “ I was told. So they don’t even make their own. Got my meal refunded, but the meals used to be really nice. The new owner needs a serious assessment as to what is offered.

A bit of country in the city. Sitting on the grassy slopes watching footy on an overcast but warm Saturday afternoon was idyllic. The AFLW match was a great spectacle and even better, the doggies won. Lost 1 star because the damn music blaring through the speakers doesn't achieve anything, its rather annoying.

Huge fan of the Western Bulldogs but I usually take the kids to the park and while there fly the kite at whitten oval. People seem really friendly here

Great oval! Has toilets, a cafe and lots of seating for a club ground. The food trucks for the games were very nice and had vegan and vegetarian options available.:)

What an atmosphere for the Pride Round, loved the arrangement of grass seating and stands. Great views of the stand.

The oval is opened to public. Turf is always well maintained and carpet like. Why would you go anywhere for a kick when you can come here.

Looking good in the middle of the pandemic lockdown. Thanks to the Western Bulldogs administration for opening it to the public in the lockdown.

Fantastic place to watch footy. Community focused with plenty of space. Nice hill to sit on or grand stand on the other side. Easy to get to on public transport

Great atmosphere, food, drinks. The ground is in excellent condition. Grand stands available for seating or take a picnic blanket and St on the ground.

The dude working at the front desk for basketball is really rude, not pleasent and just annoying.

Good to see AFLW there! Reminds me of the old days. More food options that isn't meat based would be great.

Nice spot for a cuppa of different varieties and snack food selections. Looking over the Oval. Prior kids' sporting activities.
