I was thinking about taking legal action against vodaphone. But an ABSOLUTE 5 star customer service from Zayneb and Johnathan stopped this.

Story is, I went to cancel my NBN plan ($85 a month) that I had since earlier this year, due to having to leave the country.

When I called the vodaphone line @ 1555, they had basically told me that I had to pay for $140 bucks because I didn’t stick with the plan for more than 2 years.
I found this outrageous as I was never told about this and they had locked me into a 2 year contract without notice, confirmation, signatures or anything.
When I first bought the plan, I was told that I could cancel free of charge after 3 months NOT 2 years.

So in short I had to pay $140 for something that was
1) not my fault
2) they had no proof/ acknowledgment that they had informed me of this payment
3) not under my legal obligation to pay.

But the vodaphone phone line just didn’t listen to me and when I asked for written terms and conditions stating my obligation to pay, they could not produce such evidence. Instead of helping me waive this unfaithful fine, they just suggested that I transfer this plan to someone else.
No thank you, I do not want to burden one of my friends.

So I passed over my phone to Zayneb and Johnathan and they argued like hell to the operators to service my rights as a customer.

If it wasnt for them, I would’ve had to pay the $140. However I wasn’t going to. I was more likely to think about taking legal action to sue the company as I am MORE than sure that if this has happened to me, that many people had fallen victim to this con and paid it.
(To lawyers: this may be a case to look into)
(To vodaphone management: fix this and give these 2 a raise)

Because how many people in Melbourne CBD, get an NBN plan and fully stick with it for 2 straight years, with the amount of international students who likely aren’t fluent in English nor their consumer rights get bullied into these payments.
And how many previous employees have lied about the cancellation process for a quick sale or simply didn’t have the training to know.

Walk in to with a inquiry that I was brush away from other stores. Jerry and James went above and beyond in to trouble shooting the issue and ended up providing me the ultimate solution! When my family contract is up, will definitely return and upgrade here! Massive thank you guys!

Bought a new iPhone from this Vodafone store and they have all the accesories i needed to protect my new toy! The staff was very patient in explaining to be the benefit of having a screen protector and a durable case! Other stores i have been to told me to put on the screen protector myself! Highly recommend this one!

I bought a new iphone 13 pro max. They suggested me a accessory box which had temper glass of iphone 12 pro max. I didnt recognise until yesterday When suddenly the glass near top right is not sticking to the screen and looks like an air bubble. After that I closely read all the packaging names and found out they handed me a screenprotector of iphone 12 pro max.
Really deceiving. Not recommended at all.

Been to a few Vodafone store in the city and this one located in Melbourne Central has the most genuine team members! James work out a plan for my family and I and we paid much lesser than before! Thank you for being so knowledgeable and professional!

Customer relations at its best. Top team. Cool and easy. They are very helpful, clear and quick. Telstra was such a mess for me. These guys are just awesome and kind. They seriously deserve a 5 star. Their 5G service is also too good. I am loving the 220MBPS 5G connection.

Walked in with a phone issue that 2 other stores could not fix. Problem solved within minutes! Huge thank you and in the end upgraded my husband and daughter's phones as well. Very professional staff will definitely recommend, great job!
