Highly recommend.
If you need a quick banh mi fix around the area, this place is solid. Grab yourself a crispy pork one and it will satisfy the cravings.
Meh, very average and too pricey. 14 dollars for a pork roll and drink for what you get aint worth it. Banh mi was small and not that great. Wouldn't recommend
Very below average Banh Mi at best. Pork was very dry, and the crackling was hard and very greasy. Considering the price for top level banh mi in Melbourne these at $11 are way overpriced for the low quality.
Best Bahn Me in this part of town. Sometimes I find excuse for myself to come to South Melbourne around lunchtime.
Very friendly staff and fresh food made right in front of you. Highly recommend checking them out. They also have a social conscience, donating 50% of all profits to charity, which is very admirable!
Top marks!
The best tasting fresh viet rice paper rolls and viet “banh bao” steamed meat buns I have had the pleasure to sample!
And the operators (they are an energetic couple) are absolutely delightful.
Courteous service with a smile and quick too.
Very Good value. Your money will go a long way here!
Do make this your default healthy go-to lunch place and please buy dinner to take home too!
Love love love this place for all their Banh Mi's and Noodle Bowls but today I'm paying tribute to these simple but beautiful rice paper rolls. They have the traditional prawns variety (which quite frankly, who doesn't love), but I love even more their modern twists of smoked salmon, kim-chi and seaweed rolls. I usually sneak in around 3pm and order a couple of rolls before picking up my girls from school and they just love the treat. The staff are always smiling and chirpy and I'm always happy to wait for my rice paper rolls to be rolled fresh.
I ordered the traditional meat roll here and it was one of the best roll I ever had. I really like the tiger bread rolls with no crumbs! All the rolls I had elsewhere were full of crumbs, I ended up with crumbs all over my clothes. Will come back again soon.
Over priced banh mi really can get a much nicer roll on VIC street for$6.50, swan street in Richmond do a really good one too for about $8.bread was nice here though but there was barely anything inside
Awesome place with very authentic banh mi. Whoever came up with the idea of putting Haloumi cheese in the rice paper rolls is a genius.
Excellent crispy pork banh mi and the Vietnamese ice coffee was perfect! Have to come back and try the rest of the menu)
Place makes gret noodle salads. Staff are very friendly. Restaurant is very clean and looks fresh too. 5 stars
Tried the bbq pork banh mi and I really loved it! The staff is friendly and apparently they are social enterprise where 50% of the profit goes into charity. That's another plus point! Would love to come back if I happen to be around vicinity.
Haven't had any better tiger bread than these guys'. Their bread almost has no crumbs!
I had the BBQ chicken banh mi (Vietnamese bread roll) excellent charcoal BBQ smokey flavour. Most other Banh mi places grill their meat, not charcoal. I paid $8.50, a dollar or 2 dearer. My justification is you pay for what you get. These guys are a social business who donates 50% profit to charity. You either support a black economy banh mi for $6.5 - $7 where employees get paid $10 an hour cash or support a social enterprise who pays their employees industry award rate and helps people. I chose the latter. Highly recommend.
I absolutely LOVE the tofu Banh Mi here. Fresh, delicious and the tiger rolls are perfectly fluffy and crunchy. The staff are lovely and shop looks really cute and clean for its recent upgrade. Highly recommend?
Simply can't resit the Vietnamese roast pork Banh Mi with the tiger roll. You get the crunchy on the outside and softness at the same time, with great variety of fillings to go with it.
