Vivace

Chris and the team at Vivace add sparkling service to great food all inside a fabulous venue. The menu is just one page and normally accompanied by a couple specials. In addition the wine menu has depth and breadth to suit most budgets, and even the most discerning. This is a place where you have time and space to kick back and saviour the experience, and there is no doubt that some will mention the accompanying pricing reflects the experience. In summary, highly recommended!

We had an absolutely fantastic evening with all the delicious dishes and great wine. The service was great having Roberto as our waiter, who was very attentive and highly professional and added aditional italian flavour to the already fantastic authentic italian experience.
We started with a mixed plateau of antipasti complimented well with chilled Prosecco. The arrancini followed and they were absolutely delicious.
I chose porcini&king brown mashroom risoto with goat cheese and truffle mousse and crispy leak.it was just perfect complimented with Shiraz.
The salmon fillet with quinoa and pearly cous-cous, fennel and chargrilled zucchini was simply fantastic. The deserts did not disappoint either. The dark Belgian chocolate marquise with honey wipped ricotta and citrus segments and candid walnuts was the desired great finish of the dinner. We would love to come back again and would recommend it as a "must go" culinary destination in Brighton.

Terrific restaurant that is one of our absolute favourites. The service is always absolutely spot on. Food and wine list is also “A” grade. Very well managed restaurant with lovely staff and a great overall ambience.

There was 8 people on our group. We had a private room upstairs and it was a beautiful setting. The good was absolutely beautiful. I would certainly go again it was well worth the hour to get there

Honestly, the single greatest restaurant in Brighton. The only thing better than the food is the team. Try the lamb!

Tonight my lockdown order hadn’t gone through (my fault) yet Chris and Andrew managed to fill it in the busiest hour of their day. The oysters were the biggest and most succulent I’ve had in ages- this is one place you can eat seafood with complete confidence. The rest of the meal was superb thanks to the quality of the ingredients and excellent cooking thereof. Worth the money. We’re lucky to have a local restaurant of this reliably high calibre.

Went to have dinner tonight, amazing service and incredible good food. Was on the expensive side but altogether was a great dinner and I would definitely go back.

We had a family dinner here tonight. The service was excellent, the food was most enjoyable. Lovely night was had by all.

DON'T ORDER SEAFOOD. My partner ordered Seafood Linguini which evidentially lead to food poisoning landing us in the ED all night. Called back the next day and spoke to manager to ensure others wouldn't encounter the same experience, the manager suggested they were going to take this seriously. Following up 3 weeks later, we had not heard from the manager (we called the restaurant) in which they indicated nothing had been done and instead offered a voucher to come back.
After what my partner experienced this is the last thing we wanted and I would hate for anyone to have same experience.

Our first dinner out after iso and it didn’t disappoint. Our meal was fresh and delicious, the calamari and zucchini and thinly sliced carpaccio as a starter was to die for. My husbands seafood linguini and my gnocchi was first class. As always it was delightful to see Andrew and Chris again and to experience their warm welcome and professional service. Thank you Andrew for recommending that beautiful smooth full bodied Italian white wine, the best!

Good Friday special - Home Delivered "The Ultimate Lunch/Dinner Box"

We ordered home delivery for Good Friday and it was absolutely brilliant. Our order was delivered on-time and the quality of the food was absolutely spot-on. Also ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was a great drop. We have dined at the restaurant in the past so we are very pleased to see these guys adapting to the significant challenges associated with C-19 i.e home delivery and pick-up service. Very tough times for anyone in the hospitality industry at the moment but these guys are a terrific local business and I really hope they are still trading on the other side! Try them and you won't be disappointed. Trust me on this one as I absolutely love my food and I am always in search of businesses and folks that provide outstanding customer service- which these guys do!

Hard to fault this amazing restaurant. The food is super good. If I am picky, I would say that; Like most restaurants, it can get noisy.

Excellent food and service. Staff are very attentative, very happy and respectful and make you feel special and important. You are greeted with a warm smile and also bidded farewell with a pleasant goodbye and door opening as we left. Food was just perfect in flavour and presentation. My husband and I enjoyed dinner for 2 for my birthday today, and really enjoyed it, including a birthday voucher from Vivace. It was a bit noisy but that comes with going out at this time of year with Christmas events etc too. So thanks to Chris who personally comes round and serves and makes sure all is well and chats a little as well, and another gentleman who was very cheery and attentive (sorry don't know his name), but thank you. So we highly recommend Chris and his staff at Vivace, the food and service was excellent and the nothing was wrong. A memorable evening was enjoyed by us.

We were a party of 4 for my partner's birthday. The service was fantastic - attentive, personal and informative. The atmosphere is perfect with a lively, busy vibe. I was surprised to see another entire floor upstairs full of happy diners when I ventured up to the find the bathroom. Incredible to think they kept the whole place running seamlessly and without effort. The food was exception: entree and mains through to dessert. Five starts easily.

We tried the 18 hours slow cooked lamb from their menu, trust me, we were transported to heaven and back. It was extremely delicious, fantastically cooked with so much love and care, as right from the very first bite, we fell in love with this dish. Highly recommended, I bet this one is the best dish from their menu. And do try this for an out of the world gastronomic experience. The taste still lingers in my mouth. Worth a visit.

I booked a table for 8, for my father in law's 70th. All was well until my in-laws got there, on time, and were told that there was no booking in their system.
10 minutes later, my husband and I arrived and they told my husband "we're running behind. I can't ask our patrons to leave. ".
I then asked the owner "how long are you running behind by? ", he couldn't give me an exact time. Said he can seat us (6 adults, 1 child and a pram), on a 4 seater table to have some drinks and starters, while they get our table ready. This was not acceptable and very unprofessional. A booking is a booking. I have dined out hundreds of times and many times the restaurant has informed us "it is a 2 hour seating", which clearly was not inforced here. So this restaurant has no excuse.
I had to get myself and 2 children ready, drove 25kms, we were all hungry, really looking forward to celebrating this special occasion - which I did mention when I made the booking - and this happened.
Will never go here and I will not recommend it to anyone either.

We held my husbands 70th birthday celebration at Vivace last night. Many thanks to Chris and his team for making the night a memorable one. The service, food, wine, atmosphere were excellent which made our group of 21 feel very welcomed. Gail
