Visit Ballarat reviews
29Dropped in today for some local info. The building is amazing and there is lots of info there. Matthew that we spoke to there was great Knew his stuff and was very approachable. Thanks Matthew
Very helpful staff, going above and beyond to facilitate mobility aid accessibility for elderly visitors.
Amazing staff… such as myself but other then that if you need information this is the place to go!
The staff member was very helpful. Recommended some nice and interesting places to visit and accommodation.
The customer service was exemplary and staff took time to share their passion for Ballarat and its many attractions.
The staffs are very friendly.
We stopped here first while visiting Ballarat and also on another time while driving to Adelaide from Melbourne. The first time we were there for general infos about Ballarat and around, and the staffs were just awesome. The next time, it was more of a rest stop for us, and the staffs provided my kids with coloring papers so thay were engaged, while we were stretching our legs.
We had the best experience here.the staff were amazing.lots of local knowledge.lots of regional information.very friendly.and extremely helpful.one of the best information centre we have ever visited.well done everyone. 5 stars
Lovely staff. Place was open on public holiday which is great and convenient. The staff was friendly and greeted us with info around town. They also gave out info sheets about eateries, restaurants etc.that would be open in town on Good Friday, which was so helpful navigating for dinner plans.
Great staff, Laurace, who wants to now a bit about how long I'm planning to stay, if I have children with me, etc. Then she showed me things to do suitable for my visit.
Very helpful and welcoming staff member, quickly provided me with the info. I required for the Ballarat - Skipton Rail Trail.
A wonderful city with some great buildings, points of interest and restaurants/breweries!
There's some interesting artwork scattered around and generally plenty of parking (at least when we visited). There's a few monuments / status, and the information centre (although closed at the time of visiting) had some useful information in the window.
Info centre of the main street and very hard to locate no toilet paper provided. Ballarat Info centre lift your game
More like NO INFORMATION CENTRE!
if you like winery's they have a lot of information about them.but if you don't there's no information about anything else.
Currently, the Ballarat Information Centre is temporarily moved to the next building (The Phoenix), please refer to the pictures for your reference. The centre remains on the main stress and easy to access for tourists with limited parking right in front of the existing building. Basically, you can expect to receive a local map in paper and booklet regarding the local events, attractions, accommodation and food recommendations. So far there are no special discounts available for local accommodations from the information centre. ** only apply to a certain city
The information centre doesn't have a lot of useful maps and the information i was given verbally wasn't as helpful as i have found in other information centres.
Very helpful staff with loads of information about the local area. If this is your first time to Ballarat then I highly recommend that you head here to get an understanding of what there is so you can make the most of your time in town.
Around one hour drive from Melbourne, plenty of old places to visit, wild life park, souverign hill gold mining, shopping in the centre, bit of traditional, easy to navigate, big old churches, castle prior to Ballarat.
Very informative staff who were friendly and courteous. They offer non bias advice of the area. They have many pamphlets and magazines of the local and surrounding areas as well as information on the whole of Victoria. Make sure you stop here. The building itself is also very beautiful
The Ballarat town hall, which houses the information centre, also contains some interesting plaques and relics from Ballarats days of glory.
Very pleasant and super helpful volunteers.but if the Council procedes with there plan to relocate staff from the Phoenix Building to the same area on the ground floor of the Town Hall as the Information Centre it wouldn't work, there will not be enough room for a welcoming information display. So City Council rethink your plan please.
