Vio's Football School

Coming from a family who has no interest or experience in soccer, my son has been able to learn heaps with Vio. Both Vio and his assistant coaches are great with kids, and all the kids have a great time!

Vio’s style of coaching is one that encourages children to thrive. How he interacts with the children, what he says, how he says it impresses me. The children are able to learn and build their confidence in a safe environment.

My daughter started playing soccer at the age of 9 for the very first time.
After her first season playing at a club, with zero skills but having fun, the next preseason we were recommended Vio’s football school.
From when she started VFS in 2020, every week we would notice improvements in her skills and in her game.
Now, even after all the interruptions of covid and the lockdowns, she’s dominating playing above her age, plays all positions and at times takes on the whole field, lol, using the skills she’s learned from VFS.
Though I’ve never been a soccer fan, now I love going to watch her tear up the pitch on game day.
All because of VFS.
We cannot thank Vio enough for the amazing work his done with our girl and we look forward to the years ahead at his school.

We've tried the rest and Vio's is the best. It's not like being at a big club that's looking for the next Ronaldo and ignoring the kids who are less talented. Every week the sessions are structured, the coaching is practical and the kids get in the moment feedback so they can improve. My son is really shy but on Saturday mornings he's up early and can't wait to get to Vio's Football School.

My kids love going to Vio's football school. They have learnt so much and have so much fun. They look forward to each session and talk about it all week until the next session. Thank you Vio for keeping the sessions fun and always teaching them new skills.

My son has been attending Vio’s lessons for 3-4 terms. Vio is very organised and teaches the kids discipline and respect on top of teaching them football skills. Would highly recommend my son looks forward to playing football on Saturday mornings.

Viorel's football school has helped my son to be more interested in sports generally as well as learn new skills. I chose this school as it teaches the fundamentals of the game, promotes teamwork, confidence and positive sportsmanship. Due to covid my son has had minimal exposure to all of the above, even having started school. Viorel and his assistants are professional, inclusive, encouraging and teach consistently with passion and positivity. Very happy with what I'm seeing and most importantly my son loves it. Highly recommended.

My son has global development delay. He is not athletic, needs improvement on coordination and gross motor skills, had no confidence in team sports 2 years ago.
After attending Vio's school since 2019, he improved significantly both physically and socially. He could now at least feel confident to play some soccer or even basketball with other kids in school with the improved coordinations We are grateful that we finally found a coach that has the patience and thoughtfulness to teach kids from all skill levels wholeheartedly. I must highlight that Vio is very good at teaching kids' sportsmanship, which is a very important life skill. Needless to say; he teaches all the soccer skills to kids professionally. Our community needs more sports program like this.

I hope you are keeping well during this lockdown period.

I just wanted to take some time and thank you for the work that you have done with my U16 B boys’ team in season 2021.

To say that the team has been transformed from what they used to be to what they are today would be an understatement. The change in not only their performance but also their attitude and willingness to attack the ball, take on the player and in my opinion, most importantly their ability to read the play and adjust to the changes that happen during games has been nothing short of inspirational.
To add to that, the boys have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions run by yourself and look forward to the weekly sessions that they get to spend with you and the new things they get to learn. From a club perspective, we are very appreciative for the fact that you have made yourself available to work with us on our premises and deliver the sessions as per our requirements. The specific sessions developed by you for what we wanted has been fantastic and it’s not a “one size fits all” approach.
We look forward to season 2022 where we hope to utilise your services once again and further develop the skills and knowledge of the “beautiful” game with the boys from the Gisborne Soccer Club.

My son started at Vio’s Football School at the age of 5 as a beginner. Vio and his family were nothing but supportive and encouraging during our whole time while still teaching/coaching the the technical skills & knowledge of soccer.

Training is very special compared to other similar coaching facilities for junior soccer players. It is designed to really grow player’s confidence and control of ball rather than focusing only on passing and winning games. It is well designed with enough intensity. Will recommend to anyone who wants their kids learning soccer.

My son LIam has been working with VIo for a couple of years now and I highly recommend his program. Vio is such a great mentor, fantastic with the kids and so dedicated in helping them reach their full potential. His knowledge and professionalism is second to none. At the age of 5 LIam was initially hesitant and lacked confidence in his ability. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach to turn that around.
