Vino Central reviews
19 Excellent little bar to relax and have a drink with friends or partner.
Service was excellent and friendly
Been here multiple times for a beer - never a smile, please or thank you from the owners- or even acknowledging your payment went through - never. Lack of wine bars in the area = lack of alternatives I guess!
Owner abused staff member which was distasteful in front of customers, and pushed a customer whilst dancing and knocked her to the ground. No apology given. He was rude and unapproachable. Also bullying a few other. Would never go back again.
A wine bar with good wine and reasonable prices! Buy a bottle and go or pull up a stool and drink in situ. A few great Clare wines if you're into that
First and last time at this venue, management was appalling, pushed one of our friends out of the way without excusing himself. Overall conducted himself very poorly. Would not recommend this place while management is there. Absolutely shocking
Buzzing atmosphere bit overcrowded near counter made it difficult to order.
Nice wines and great to be able to order food if you want to.
What a great place! Choose your booze and sit and drink it. Bonus is bringing any take away food you like in. We had a pizza from Woodfire Ivanhoe, only 3 doors down and so quick! Perfectly matched my German beer. Great service from the staff too.
Pretty good. The range of wines here is reasonable. The service was good. I’d only suggest that the decor needs a bit of a lift. We’d happily return.
Do your self a favour and go here, the local eateries deliver in, and then take away their plates, just tell them your in Vino when ordering, and there is a good selection of wine with great advice from the staff
Love coming here- all the staff are lovely, range, quality and price are fantastic. Feel very lucky to have this as our local- you’re always looked after here.
Greg and his staff are very welcome and friendly. Great atmosphere in here. Made to feel really welcome. Large selection of drinks on offer. And the big welcome you get when you come in the door just makes you want to stay
This place has so much potential. The booze range is great but the corkage price is cheeky at best. $1 to open a beer and provide a glass, not cool. Allowing food delivery companies to bring in your order is great. Would be awesome if cheese platters or something slightly more substantial than packets of chips were an option
I've been coming here for a few months now after moving into the area. First popped by to get a bottle of red for a reunion I was going to at a mate's place and the guy up front of the shop did a great job of pointing me in the right direction. The wine was great, not too pricey, and a big hit at the party.
It can get a shade crowded with the evening mob but that's just part of having a wine shop on a main street.
It's not just a bottleshop, it's a whole community bar and drinking dive.
I came by on short notice to pick up a pinot for a get-together and the staff did a great job of helping me to pick out a nice little 2018 shiraz with a cherry note. Not too hard on the wallet and not too heavy on the palate either.
I had such a fine experience I'll definitely be coming back in the future!
Perfect little wine bar and cellar open late, with an excellent taste and friendly atmosphere. What can you ask more? Best wine store in Heidelberg/Ivanhoe!
Needs more live music! Also needs to stop serving overly boozed old folk, when they're too wasted.
Excellent dive for wine and beer. The local selection is excellent and they do a good job of stocking foreign beers like Erdinger, La Chouffe, and some more party beers like Kaiju Krush.
The pricing is pretty on point but I can't help but feel like they charge a premium because it's Ivanhoe and a shade upmarket.
Otherwise, would definitely recommend!
Nice place, though if you buy a bottle of wine here and drink it on the premises they charge 7 dollar corkage
