Vinnies Pizza Boys reviews
33Poor delivery service as pizzas were left on veranda and didn’t even knock on the front door. Pizzas were cold. Very disappointing. Would not do this again
For the most part, Vinnie's Mt Eliza is usually generally good, except some days delivery pickup where you have young employees in there that don't seem to care and can't exhibit even basic customer service skills. Food for pickup often cold even when collected right on time, and lacking flavour and substance. Save your money if buying the Bruschetta. It's NOT worth it. See pics below of the Bruschetta. Abismal, cold, tasteless and a waste of money!
Excellent customer service and food was lovely. Definitely will be our fave local restaurant.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. I had mushroom and truffle oil pasta and it was one of the best pasta dishes in a very long time. Definitely going back.
The food here is phenomenal. They put in so much effort you can tell they truly love their jobs. Working my way through their menu and yet to be disappointed.
Moroccan Beef pizza was super tasty! Pizza was ready when I got there - no delays and friendly service.
Zero customer service. Don't waste time going to this place. All the pizza tastes the same.
Consistently delicious pizza and good quality.
However there seems to be problem with their menulog, we pressed remove olives from the pizza but after order it came up with “+olives” instead of removing them the pizza had extra olives. Not whoever was making the pizzas fault but something to perhaps look into with menulog.
Great pizza, great owner, great staff.
When you say local businesses supporting the community you must start with Vinnies.
This is a guy who cares about the village.
Absolutely awesome food. Seriously outstanding. We were just passing by and had the luck of walking into the place. So well done!
Probably the best pizza I have had in Victoria. More to try but they set a very high standard
Always great food. I usually get take away. First time I’ve eaten in. Was there with the local Lions Club members. Good service and prices are fair.
Vinnies makes the best tasting pizza around, the base just right, the ingredients balanced tasty fresh and cooked pizza perfect every time. Delicious every time
Terrible Terrible Terrible - It took two hours for our pizza to arrive when it finally did it was stone cold. When I asked to speak to the manager we were told we were rude. Zero accountability! We pretty much order a pizza every week and we were treated like this.
Pizza arrived 1 hour late stone cold. Driver rang to ask address as girl had written down incorrectly. Staff gave misleading advice regarding arrival time when chased up. No attempt by management to explain or rectify. Never again.
Just picked up a take away from Vinnies Pizza Boys Mt Eliza. Yummy risotto, full of chicken bits + mushies in creamy sauce- delish. Very friendly environment
Disclaimer: I am sure the food is wonderful if you eat meat, milks, eggs etc! But I am reviewing this restaurant as someone with dietary requirements and allergies. I eat a vegan diet.
Short of it: they don't understand their own menu and ingredients, and I wasted 45 minutes feeling really hungry waiting for a meal, and then had to go elsewhere.
Long version: When I sat down, I asked the waitress if they offer any vegan options. She said they have plenty, and began to list them off. I ordered pizza first, and then a while later she came back to explain that she thinks there might be dairy in the base. I'm allergic to dairy and asked her to double check. She did, and there was dairy in the base. She reminded me of a few other options, and the owner (I assume? An older man) came over to try and help I guess.
This cycle continued a few times, where I ordered something else because after I ordered, they would come back to tell me how there was actually milk or something in the food.
It was disappointing, because a business should know the food they are selling. I don't think it was a big ask, and I would have been more than happy to go elsewhere! It's why I asked almost immediately if they could cater for me. After 45 minutes, the waitress said they don't actually have any vegan options and I left.
Either don't advertise falsely, or have a clear understanding of the ingredients in your foods, and what you can cater for.
Have ordered from here before and Pizza's were good.
I live 5 mins drive from restaurant.
This time, tonight absolutely awful (via menulog)
- base wasnt cooked.
- toppings were just slapped on it in clumps.
- cold
- soggy
I can say, this is the worst pizza I have ever ordered in Melbourne. I rang them up, and they just said sorry. With that attitude, wont be ordereing from them again. I'm a Mt Eliza local, you have lost a customer.
Ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta online and said 15 min wait. I arrived and was told will be 10 mins. 40 mins later still no order yet my 2 pizzas have been sitting there for 25 mins.
I ask them to remake my pizza as I would like it fresh with my pasta. Not cold.
The manager proceeds to walk out with my pizzas in front of everyone and open it up. He says “do you think this is cold? ” Then walks away
Getting publicly humiliated is not my idea of good customer service. Sorry won’t be back.
Vinnie's pizza has good quality, American-style and well priced pizza, with all sorts of topping so it can cater for nearly any tastes. The only problem with this establishment is that the pizza is MUCH better when taken away, as the pizza when eating in is incredibly oily and overall much worse. That being said, it still is very high quality when taken away.
