Vine Hotel North Wangaratta reviews
38 Where do l start. The meet and greet at the door is warm and friendly. Never come across such a switched on crew of workers.
Meals are varied from Sri Lankin to typical pub meal with coleslaw.
Outdoor setting is relaxing and also has undercover with heating bars and misting fans. Garden provides plenty of grass and shady trees for both adults and children, in a fenced area.
Historical museum under the pub is a ripper to view.
We had yet another excellent dinner here at the Vine hotel. We ordered our usual favourites - the Parmie and the chilli prawn pasta. Hands down these are the best parmies and pasta I could find in town. Beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection.
We were seated inside and were impressed with the interior as well. The staff was lovely and attentive.
Our favourite place in town for sure? Thanks Vine Hotel.
The staff and service was amazing. Even on a very busy night, service was quick, delivered with a smile and delicious.
This pub used to be a great little pub, now it’s not. Food was bad. Cocktails were mostly froth & to top it off we were greeted by a impolite bearded bartender. We all agreed we won’t go back.
Been missing our pub feeds at The Vine because of lockdown but had a takeaway parmi with chips and salad for dinner and the quality was as good as dine in.
We didn't stay here.
Just popped in to have dinner with the Grandparents, as always it didn't disappoint. The staff are always friendly and the place has such a warm atmosphere.
Would recommend anyone interested to try the Vine.
Great atmosphere in this quaint family hotel. The food is excellent and the service is pleasant and quick. Thanks for the experience.
Good parma, chips and salad.carlton on tap, nice and cold. Ate on the deck, not a long wait for the meal. A decent crowd also. Can’t go wrong.
Great tasting food and an enjoyable atmosphere however no reception for my phone other than that happy with the service and overall feel of the pub
Love going to the Vine. Great staff and great food. Never had a bad experience there. Quality everytime
Adore this place, cosy, great atmosphere, old historic pieces everywhere, the museum and cellar temporarily closed for repairs while we were there, unfortunately.
The food and service was excellent, the best. Thank you, for a wonderful time, two evenings of perfection.
Excellent food and the hosts are wonderful, has a lot of history and the cellar is a museum that's worth looking at.
Such a wonderful atmosphere in this classic country pub. Not trying to be some Metro, fancy outlet, just a cosy place with some good history and even a bit of a museum! Food and service were fantastic, will definitely be back.
Doesn't even deserve 1 star, had the salt and pepper squid as an entree, literally tasted like coles brand ones that are horrible, rubbery, smelt horrendous, then for the main meal, I had the parmi, had one mouthful and a few chips, chips didnt even taste fully cooked or salted, and the parmi, don't even get me started, it was literally like eating 2nd hand chewed up chewing gum with a foul taste, I had one mouthful and left, i couldnt even be bothered saying anything as it was already 8: 20 ish about the time every where else was closing and as a pregnant women i just wanted to go get food somewhere else.
First the atmosphere was very nice and rustic with the bistro layed out with big tables next to an open fire place. The food was very nice one of three places in area that serves real chicken schnitzel not the cheap stuff from Woolworths. The garlic butter was very nice so were the chips could have done with more but that's ol. The meal was hot and came out about 10 to 15 minutes after I had ordered the the garlic cheese and chili bread was amazing compared to other places where you pay more. It was doublethe size of other places that serve the same thing. The chicken schnitzel was $22 and the bread was $8.service was very good, very fast the staff were great and friendly nice to have a chat with and were very helpful. The drinks were reasonable as well. The only down side was that the place is about 4 minutes out of town but other then that it was a very nice experience.
0 STARS! Never in my life have i been unable to eat a parmi, one of my favorite meals, on this occasion i had a parmi that tasted like plastic with verry much the accompanying consistency, barely cuttable with a knife.keeping in mind this is CHICKEN.i couldnt even finish chewing 3 times before i had to eject the "meal" that has offended every one of my sense AND ME from my mouth, let me put this into perspective.i could be a jew in auschwitz during operation and not be so offended, i could be a black guy getting targeted for my skin color and not come close to being so offended, im now at a real resteraunt after having about 2 chips and what i can only assume was a rubber chicken from kmart! Couldn't even ask for a refund as we ran out of time to since everwhere else was about to close
Good meal and great vibe. It had a very eclectic style, antique shop meets theatre. Decent prices and nice food, good for large groups!
Dined at the vine with extended family, unique classic bush styling and no fancy/la di da meals, perfect place for a feed. You know what you are going to order will be as expected and the service was great. Atmosphere was also terrific where the proprietor has tried to keep its original interior and exterior.
