Village Cinemas Crown reviews
67Polite staff, large sized cinema, only got confused as I’d pre-purchased tickets and wasn’t aware the cinemas were on the upper level so could’ve avoided the box office altogether. Thanks
It was quiet on the day we saw a morning movie. The service was good and the theatre was good.
Very dated with the smallest Vmax Screen I've ever seen. Seat was dirty. Needs an upgrade. Staff are lovely and always helpful
Shout out to Lily, she was just so lovely, helped me out with everything:) Truly and Asset to Crown cinemas.
Great location. I always go Gold Class here. Comfy chairs. Every seat is well placed for viewing.
Went to an afternoon showing in Gold Class, ordered a drink in the lobby, then food to be brought at the beginning of the film and a hot drink in the middle of the show.
We waited 10 minutes in the lobby, drink did not come until I had to remind the server, at which time there was only 5 minutes until the movie. When we were seated, our food didn't come. We gave it a little while, and 30 minutes in still nothing. We used the buzzer, for which no one came to check in until another 15.
When we inquired about our order, they came back with our items, followed immediately by tje items we ordered for halfway in. Which meant we had to eat and drink everything at once so the hot drinks we ordered for the middle wouldn't go cold.
It should bear mention that the food for the beginning of the movie was a popcorn, a soda, and candy. Nothing from the kitchen, just standard items from the concession stand.
Tickets, plus food cost a total of almost $150. For that kind of money, you would expect much better service, or, at thr bare minimum, the service that you paid for, which is items delivered to you in a timely manner.
If this truly is the "Gold Standard", Village Cinemas should reevaluate.
Only 2 stars because Space Jam was pretty dope, and there is a slow burn cameo at the end that makes the whole movie worthwhile.
Disliked it - Went to Gold Class, they stopped the table service claiming COVID restrictions - Totally don't believe that COVID restrictions would prevent them coming into the cinema and taking orders, seemed like a cop out.
Took over 30 minutes for some popcorn and drinks to arrive after I had to go up to the counter and order it.
If they could fix up their service it would be a far better experience.
Came here today for gold class - Black Widow at 3: 15 PM session. But turns out my session is booked for the following week. At first, it ruined our day hearing that.
However, manager on shift- JACKSON turned it all around by providing several options to resolve our issues.
Thank you so much for making our day. Much appreciated. Great customer service and problem solver.
Went to gold class and to our surprise - people with darker skin are treated differently! Such a shame!
Staff at Crown Gold Class needs extensive training.
Every time we attend this venue there are always problems with the dining experience. The fact that people spend quite a bit of money to get the Gold Class experience and not get that is not acceptable.
This review is based on the last couple of years of getting the same unacceptable experience from this particular venue.
Gold Class here was pretty good, they honoured vouchers that had already been extended once, and had expired!
Good cocktails, comfy seats.
We were here for the gold class experience and were treated well. When you add everything up its an expensive night out, but it is luxurious and compared to a number of years ago the food is high quality and generous.
Loved my cinema experience. Went gold class and love the small cinemas and lovely service from the staff
We had been to the gold class movie few times. The gold class customer service is good and friendly, but the food is not the best, we had edamame twice, the first time was cooked probably, but the second time was bit raw, and we had onion rings, it was cold and missed one sauce, we didn't make a complain it's bit annoying to complain during the movie.
Seats were so comfy we fell asleep and the employees let us stay asleep even after the movie finished.
Service was too slow during the movie, last round of drinks arrived in the credits
However the boss man sorted it out- thank you very much.
Friendly staff lots of spare seats. First time back in a cinema in over a year. I've missed it a lot!
The staff is great, the cinemas are clean but I'm not sure if it was because i was there early that they were able to serve me fast but still credit to them. Despite seeing my ticket multiple times and saw me come in and out they still asked to see my ticket tho i think it was over the top i dont hold iy against them. Still a great job and watching wrestlemaina was great there.
4 stars only male toilet not working, I'm sure crown can afford a plumber at any hour or day including holidays
I'm watching Wastelands 37 right now. The aircon is on when it's 10 degrees outside. I'm cold as heck. The lights are still on. Ffs, make it an enjoyable experience.
