The food is outstanding, delicious, generous serves, service excellent, atmosphere felt like I was back in Mexico!
BEST Mexican food we have eaten in Australia and no comparison to the Anderson Street Mexican tavern.

I was told to come here as people had raved about it and I was so disappointed. Incredibly bland taco and burrito experience. Not a fresh herb in sight. So plain and boring. What’s worse is the margaritas are made with the cheapest tequila I’ve had in years.

Went there with my friends. Food was so delicious. Very polite and respectful staff.

There are so many vegan and vegetarian options.

Really friendly staff, great service and tasty food and mocktails. Nice outside area in the rear for warm/sunny days

This restaurant was a pleasant experience with delicious and plentiful food as well as a number of interesting beverage choices.
Ash was a delightful, polite and helpful employee who assisted us with our meal and drink choices.
Prices were reasonable and the art work on the walls was very thematic.

We visited from Adelaide, and shall do so again

The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! Such generous portions and so flavoursome and good quality mexican, which is hard to find. It is such a nice atmosphere in the courtyard at the back of the restaurant as well.

We ordered the pulled pork nachos and the beef quesadilla.so yum! Overall, great service, great music and great vibes. Highly recommend.

Have had dine-in and takeaway from this restaurant. The staff are lovely and the service is always amazing. I would definitely support this restaurant if you want delicious food and a good atmosphere!

Service, food and cocktails were top notch! Really could not fault anything. Had the shared meal $75 for 2. So much food. Chili margs were the best. Staff were all over it. Great little find!

Visiting Village Cantina Yarraville was a delightful experience. We indulged in tacos, burritos, and concluded our meal with churros.

The tacos were fresh, tasty, and satisfying. The burritos were equally flavorful, with the rice cooked to perfection. The churros were the perfect finale to our meal.

The staff were notably friendly, helpful, and valued, making us eager to return. It's also a kid-friendly establishment.

The food and service was unreal. One of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in Melbourne. Can’t wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!

It was good but the tortilla for the taco could be better. The tortilla didn't seem fresh.

Was a tasty meal, serving size was awesome! However the nachos were far too greasy and heavy, it was starting to look like slops half way through.

Charming little restaurant, good Mexican food. Service was a little slow, although we weren't in a hurry. I enjoyed the entree share plate and classic margaritas.

Super delicious fish tacos and pulled pork burrito. They have three types of sauce including the hottest one with ghost chilli the margaritas were delicious. Will be back!

Extremely friendly and insightful staff. Amazing food but you need to bring a big appetite to fully enjoy the experience.

The best service I have ever experienced. Ordered through Uber eats and as my order was a block away, it got cancelled by the driver with no explanation. I phoned the restaurant to see if they knew of an issue, and they immediately said they will remake the order. They were out 2 orders and we were only met with apologies for the situation, speedy service, and (as always) absolutely amazing food.
The owner's first priority was us as customers and I can't be more grateful for their thoughtfulness.

Great food and cocktail/mocktail options. They are pretty busy there so table service was a bit slower than other places but still very good. Decor and music was a fun vibe, will be back for sure!
