Bit over priced. $28 for a burger and shoe string fries. Heard hype about this place and our group of six left very disappointed with all of our meals.

Really really disappointing with the new owners choice to change the menus and up the prices. This pub use to be a go to where you could bring anyone with my dietaries and be fed at a reasonable price. Now it’s over priced with a disorganised menu that does not feed everyone. Really sad local to lose.

Staff are lovely still!

Came in this evening to find a surprise menu and dietary change.

Was expecting a lovely coeliac friendly pub meal to find the menu has completely changed, prices soaring and no longer a gluten free facility.

Staff uncertain about what is and is not gluten free, and if things are cooked in a shared fryer. Offering to write a note on my order. We left as I felt zero confidence in the faculties and staff knowledge, especially given how serious it is if I have as little as a breadcrumb.

Disappointed in the massive changes to “pub classics”. Where is the Parma? Why is the burger $28? Where did the wide variety of vegetarian options go? This used to be the BEST vegetarian parma in a pub. I literally cried with joy the first time I ate here to be able to get a GF chicken parma, close to home at that, and now cannot.

Very disappointing, that what WAS an incredible dietary option for me is now gone. There is so few places that are gluten free or SAFE for coeliacs to eat that are in the West, and now to have one less really sucks.

Transitionally, new owners should at least have a printed gluten free specific menu, even if there’s three things on it, that half of your customers could come in and know that X, Y, and Z are going to be prepared safely for them, rather than having staff go back and forth between the kitchen to ask questions about how the food is prepared and what sauce is safe (not the gravy, apparently, if you’re wondering).

Will not be returning.

How do you stuff up a Chicken Schnitzel? You over cook the tiny little fella until it is like leather. Then you try and hide it with about 1 kg of horribly prepared cabbage. Thanks guys!

Excellent gluten-free menu. Entire kitchen is gluten-free so safe for coeliacs. Good size meals as well.

Great wee pub. Leans more to the gastro side of things as they don’t serve pints. But good beers on tap and really good no nonsense food.

Went here for drinks and meals.

1. There's plenty of parking available close by the pub.
2. Kid friendly, there were kids at nearly every table.
3. They had Carlton Draught on tap. A plus for people that are not into craft beers.
4. The kitchen is COMPLETELY gluten free and they have heaps of veggie/vegan options. Being someone that eats meat, gluten and dairy my review is based on these items.

I had the Wagyu Burger with Chips. It was a good size burger. I was expecting the bun to be shi*, flat and flavourless (my gluten free bread experience) but the bun was actually quite nice. It had seeds and a fairly nice texture.

The bacon was floppy. I don't get it.what is the deal with floppy bacon everywhere? Crispy bacon is where it's at!

The chips are what really made me sad. They definitely could've used a bit more time cooking. I'm not one to leave chips on the plate, but I just couldn't.

Overall, the vibe was good, it's nice and opened.

I probably wouldn't go here by choice, especially for a meal.but I mean.if I was starving and couldn't get in anywhere else I'd probably go here.

Beautiful old fashioned neighbourhood pub with just enough updating to be comfortable. Brilliant takes on pub standards plus some interesting extras. The vegetarian curry got a huge rave. Many good local craft beers.

Great bar with a food menu that's completely gluten free! If you have a celiac friend, this is the place to take them!

Had a wonderful experience. The person behind the bar was so helpful and informative about drinks and food. I was so excited to hear that everything on the menu is Gluten Free. I had a NON Kombucha which was delicious and a vegetarian Parma. Everything was so good and I will definitely be back. Great atmosphere.

Staff, food, everything always good. The only thing letting the pub down is the lack of offering only pots and schooners, not pints. The amount of people I know that don't go to this pub because of this is quite a lot, and the amount of people I witness asking for pints while I sit at the bar is phenomenal.

I love this pub and I usually have std pub meals here but went for a lunch special instead and was very disappointed. I had the vegetarian lasagne and I definitely felt like my money was wasted.
One ‘small’ scoop of the lasagne (if you could call it that with 1 piece of pasta sheet) and 80 percent of a plate was chips and salad.the worst part was that all you could taste was the acidity of puréed tomato. Also had the tempura veg which was pretty tasteless as well. In this day and age we all want value for money and it definitely wasn’t in this meal.
I’ll still go back but will stick with the classic pub fare from now on.

What can I say the food was amazing and for my friend to be able to have anything on the menu, as she has coeliacs, was an added bonus. Staff were friendly and accommodating, as I had a reaction to lavender so the were more than happy for us to sit somewhere else

With friendly staff and wide range drinks it makes for a great saturday night at the pub. If its to watch the game or your taking your partner out its always a great time
