VicRoads - Coolaroo Licence Testing Centre

Great place to be taking your drive test! Everybody was very nice, accommodating and understanding, especially my testing officer who created a friendly and relaxing atmosphere that allowed me to easily pass my drive test on the first try. Thank you very much Sir!

My partner and I booked our drive test 20 mins apart. We made this booking online, we received a downloadable receipt with information about the time and the test centre details. There was no information about bringing your own car for the test via email or on the fine print of the booking confirmation. We drove together in one car. Based on the information provided, every test centre offers you two options, either to come with your own vehicle or the testing centre will provide one. (What happens if a person does not own a car?)
There were two staff members serving each of us and singing the same song which was that they can’t let us give our drive test without a car, and since we arrived in one car, only one of us can give our test. On challenging them to show us this information on their website, they could not pull up this information on their end, nor was this information given to us by email or before booking our test; Rather their way of dodging our query was by saying it was purely our responsibility to know this whereas they themselves could not find the information on the VicRoads site.
I was dealing with Bernadette at the reception who ultimately rescheduled my booking to the earliest available date which is now a MONTH from now. I feel absolutely cheated. The officials at the centre could’ve easily squeezed me in for my drive test taking turns in the one car, as our bookings were 20 mins apart. They started my partner’s test 10 mins late to top over that! I wasted my entire day driving back and forth to this centre.

Feedback: Its important to inform the customers so they can make an informed decision. The issue here is that, information was not provided.

Very nice and polite staff at Vic road coolaroo licence test centre. Everyone was very hospitable and easy going.

Bridget was really fantastic, she was not only a nice officer, but also her calmness during driving was absolutely inspirational to do your best.

I would like to give a big thank you to Jess and the Vic Roads coolaroo team for accommodating my daughter with her drive test, as she came with the wrong vehicle because it had an electric handbrake and was told if I came back with another car they would fit her in the same day. She passed her test and was very excited. Would recommend that branch to any one getting there license.

Hello. Just wanted to thank Jess and the Vicroads Coolaroo team. My very nervous daughter messed up her appointment today (went to Broady instead) and Jess graciously fit her in and made her feel very welcome. Her test went well and the instructor was terrific. I took the test with an Indian examiner, he made me nervous and confused. He was rude and gave me some mean feedback. He just want to fail people. All other staff great.

This is my 3rd review about Vicroads for different services. All 5 stars, but today's experience at Coolaroo was way outstanding than previous two. I was too nervous for my driving test. Rob was my examiner. He is a such a gem of person, who calmed me down. His pleasant nature gave me confidence. Very professional, same as Umit at counter.

When I was there they saw us waiting in queue and one nice guy just stepped forward to help us and did all the paper work.
Really if every centre start giving small briefing to their team to help the people our experience would be different.

I gave my drive test here today and I passed the test. My license testing officer Brian was very very soft spoken, made me feel very comfortable and was very clear with his instructions. Thanks Brian!

What to say about this place. I wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars. All the Licence Testing Officers are very soft spoken, very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. They treat learners and all the driving instructors very nicely. I have been a Driving Instructor since 2012 and never came across such friendly staff in any other testing centre. I visit this centre almost every day for drive tests, and these lovely people treat me as a family member. This place has become a second home to me. I have never  experienced working in such a pleasant environment like this before. It helps people feel positive and motivated.
Moreover, In the actual drive tests, I have always witnessed how these LTOs help learner drivers by putting all their efforts to calm them down and help learner drivers overcome their anxiety just before their drive test so that a learner can give their best performance in the drive test. Testing Officers always make sure they are clear with directions and instructions given to the learner.
A big thanks to all the LTOs  for your love, respect, And creating a healthy working environment.

Had driving test today with dipesh, he was so polite, and made me feel so comfortable and told me before my test don’t stress just drive confidently, and yes i passed the test also other staff was so respectful and polite there.
