The VIC roads Dromana team were amazing - especially Cathy, who was very kind. She went out of her way to help me. I'm very grateful she took the time to get everything sorted for me, so I was safe on the roads. Five+ stars

Super happy with the service here.
Staff are always under the pump but that never translates to poor or grumpy service.
After encountering a range of issues when trying to register my sons first car (with only days until his 18th bday), Christine (branch manager) made things happen against the odds!
No fuss, no problems, just got it done!
Always impressed with the staff here, every time…

Nick was my driving test instructor, he is super nice, made me calm down as I was really nervous. Although, I failed because of my own fault but he was the best instructor. Kudos to you!

Terrible, keep giving me old photo on licences that I have ordered twice and requested my updated photo and updated information but has not. They have just sent my old information and licence

Anthony took my test and result is unsuccessful because i stoped on stop sign and he said u shouldn’t stop on stop sign, you should stop on stop line after the stop sign. Last month another officer failed me because he said you didn’t stop enough before stop sign. I have spoken with the manager, she said yes u should stop on the stop sign. When she feel it looks unfair and it’s their mistake then she didn’t even complete the conversation, she just run away. Don’t waste your time to book your test at this place.

Just got my Ps here and had a really great experience! Interacted with 3 workers and they were all very encouraging, patient and lovely. My driving instructor made sure to reassure me and was super easy going:). Even if I failed, I would still be able to say these things!

I don't know how they assessing driver skills for non-white people, But I noticed that there driving officers only issue licences for local white populations, so I think they are not very nice with foreigners don't recommend this center for overseas candidates 29/12/2022

I had a very pleasant experience at VicRoads Dromana. The staff here were very friendly especially my testing officer Nick, who made me feel comfortable and is a great bloke.

I had my driving test today, i was extremely nervous but my assessor sam was extremely polite, he made me comfortable so i don't make mistakes out of pressure and anxiety of being assessed, amazing assessor hands down!

19/12/2022 8: 30 am. Just want to give a massive thank you to the man that served me (first customer). He went above and beyond and as I was scrapping enough money to pay the fees. My first experience transferring an interstate car, he went above and beyond and made the process simplified and understanding. Absolute legend and thank you again, highly recommend!

Today I passed my drive test in Dromana, sheily was my testing office she is so very patient and very clear instructions.i was So nervous she made me very confort.i passed my P test.

For The Very First time I went there and It has been a pleasure. Great Place for Learners to there Drive test there. All bits are covered definitely a bit quieter depending on what time of the day it is and most importantly staff there are great. Very good Accomodating Staff there. Well done and keep up the good work.

Yesterday, I passed my driving test with ease. Thanks to my instructor Arun and to my assesor Sam. Sam's pleasant personality and with clear and simple instructions made it possible for me to get my P2. He even tried to help me verify my foreign driver's lic.at the same time (this guy is very helpful and accomodating with my queries).

I had the most wonderful driving test experience with Mr. Jude. He was so polite, extremely clear with the instructions, and made sure that I had a comfortable driving experience. 10/10 recommend Dromana VICroads.

I had to wait 1 hour due to this place being severely understaffed as there were so many enquiries. The customer service were very nice, but more staffing is required.

A really disappointing experience here today. I booked in and brought all appropriate documentation and was early and on time. The environment was chaotic and ridiculous. Plastic counter shields and face masks are understandable during covid, but also being roped off 1m behind the counter when there are 6 counters all in extreme close proximity forcing every person yelling and struggle to hear is an obviously thoughtless design. I'm 23 with great hearing, and still could barely understand what was being said. There were several older people struggling. About half of the staff were helpful and kind, the other half were rude and obviously hated their jobs and probably their lives in general. There was staff visibly angry, using hostile tones to the older people struggling to understand modern procedures and technology instead of helping them. People walking in without an appointment were met with hostility and contempt rather than an explanation for the necessity of an appointment without an emotional undertone. My worker in particular, Jude, was extremely hostile and incompetent. He had his colleague Cathy (who was great), explain most of the internal processes and laws to him to help him understand how to do his job. Maybe he was new, and that's understandable. What's ridiculous is Cathy had to act basically as a mediator for our communication because Jude was so hostile. He poorly explained what he needed to and failed to understand simple ideas and the documentation which I had brought, relying on Cathy to explain it to him. When he realised we had miscommunicated, he got visibly angry, hostile and tried to belittle me. Trying to diffuse his anger and get on with the process, I agreeably said "okay, I must had misunderstood you" and sought clarification.
Jude continued to want to waste time angrily pointing out how it was my fault for not understanding his ramblings over all the other yelling rather than actually explain my query and resolve the issue. He then turned to Cathy to give her a 5 second long look of incredulity at the notion that he would have to give me information on the plates and I didn't already know the answer (it's in the job description to help customers buddy). Luckily Cathy kindly explained the difference in plates and quickly helped me to understand the type I needed. She offered a really friendly anecdote of her having a similar confusion when moving states and gave me extra information surrounding making the plates lawful. It was an awful experience being served by Jude, and the only saving grace was having Cathy next to him free to basically do his whole job for him. I've written about 6 reviews in my life, almost always really positive - but this experience called me to write. This man should be let go from his position and spend some time doing talking therapy and anger management.
