Vermont Thai reviews
43Lovely staff, delicious food! Can make some curries and stir frys vegan on request which is awesome:)
This used to be a great little Thai restaurant pre 2019 but unfortunately the last few times we have ordered from here with my family the food was cooked well so that wasn't an issue but it had very little taste to it and barely any sauce.
Ordered Uber eats at Vermont thai. Ordered pad thai, and they were absolutely tasteless and bland, not enough sauce. The rice noodle had a pale white colour and plastic taste to it from the packaging. Would give zero star if possible.
Absolutely HORRIBLE takeaway service. We ordered at 5: 30pm and assumed it would take about an hour, by 7pm we tried calling them. No answer, we tried calling them for 40 MINUTES with no response. We waited for a long time and food came at 8: 30pm. We had waited 3 HOURS for our food to arrive, and did not hear anything from the restaurant. And the worst thing, was that after waiting that long. Our rice WAS NOT even cooked! Very disappointed due to the LACK of communication and service. Will not be ordering again anytime soon.
Vermont Thai. I'll start by saying I don't like Thai food but was invited and happy to attend.restaurant was cosy and staff were nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I enjoyed my pad satay which was exactly what I was expecting. Would recommend
Just got our food delivered. Probably the worst Thai food I’ve had.
Watery curry, pad Thai that tastes like plain noodles and some peanuts + 2 prawns. And terribly overcooked coconut rice.
Would give a zero if I could. The pad Thai had zero sauce and zero flavour. The menu said it has taramind sauce (it did not). These noodles were bland and were an ugly off white colour due to the fact it had no sauce. The roti bread was burnt and the satay sauce was only one table spoon worth.
This place used to be delicious but not anymore. The Pad Thai tonight was tasteless and had hardly any vegetables or Tofu just a container of noodles. Plus they have a minimum spend of $20 for EFTPOS, which isn't reached even if I get a entree and a main. Used to be a regular but service tonight was terrible and I won't be going back.
The menus are rather out dated and old, they seem to be the ones from the day they opened. The food itself was delicious; massaman curry and green curry were the two best dishes we had. However if you’re looking for roti, go two doors down for real made in front of you roti.
Have come here a lot. Really good quality Thai food. The pad Thai is the best I’ve had anywhere here.
Amazing customer service & great food. This is probably the 3rd time I have visited this place. Though I'm not a huge fan of minimum $20 spend for card transaction, quality of food and accomodating staff makes up for the negative. Will recommend and visit again.
Appalling service. Wasted our time online, charged the account, and then told us we aren't taking orders. AVOID!
Woah, there is someone with the same name as me below! Anyways, I have been here at least 10 times. The food is flavourful, spicy, and is authentic. The staff are attentive but sometimes make mistakes. For example, the waitress forgot one of my dishes once. Until my latest visit. The beef in the yellow curry was tough, and was almost impossible to chew. The curry was bland and the chef was laughing in the back at a video that was playing at full volume.
But, that was only one visit.
Good food but don't go there in peak time and serve wise will leave you on a half empty stomach #notabigeater
It ruined my lunch. Tung yum soup super salty. Cant taset any herb or ginger. Green curry salty as well. No taste of green curry. Probably too less green curry was used and add lot of salt. Never return.
Waited for forty minutes and they only cared about making take away orders and left all customers in the restaurant drinking water while seeing all the take away orders being prepared. Why bother having a dine-in restaurant then? Even not a single apology when we cancelled order and walked away. Will definitely not visit again.
My parents organised a family get together there today.
Before going I looked the reasturant up and noted a number of luke warm reviews so I didn't have any expectations.
What a lovely suprise!
The first thing that impressed was the friendly waitress. The meals come out in a timely manner and all the mains were delicious and in good proportions. The only dish lacking was the entree fish cakes. As there were eight adults and four children we dampled a great deal of what the menu offered.
From my experiance today I suspect the not so great reviews came from reviewers that expected something that this place isn't. What it is is a cheery suburban reasturant adjacent to s shopping centre. Not a ritzy place you take someone om a first date.
I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I find myself in the eastern suburbs.
Ordered takeway at 1855 and was told delivery would be at 1952. At 1950 received a phone call to say the food would be 10-15 minutes late. At 2030 we still had no food, so I cancelled the order. Never again.
Fairly quiet during lunch hour. Had the the Thai fried rice. Asked for it to be spicy. Came out really spicy. Quiet enjoyed it. 30 mins wait time. Otherwise all good
Pretty good food. Everything was very flavourful! Ambiance was good and had a wide selections of food and drinks. My only complaint is that the "mild" curries are very spicy in my opinion. I can actually handle spice quite well though.
