Great service, great prices. The team are so helpful. We're beginner DIY-ers and needed to break up a 3 x 4m concrete slab. They set us up with medium jackhammer, explained how to use it, and we had the job done in under three hours. Will definitely use Vermont Hire again.

The first thing you will notice when you visit Vermont Hire is the friendly and helpful staff. This is not something you experience everywhere. I hired a circular saw which did the job. Upon returning the saw, I reported that I needed to use my angle grinder; but unfortunately, I was sold the wrong pin wrench spanner from another store. They kindly gave me a spare pin spanner. Greatly appreciated.

We hired the large digger today and I must say the service was fantastic. Before I hired I got time and great advice and then today staff were helpful and very friendly. The digger got the job done and was easy to learn to use. Highly recommend

This would have been 4.5 stars but for the bit of communication breakdown on charge out rates and return times.
Gear is the equal if not better than some of the bigger hire mobs.
Yard is accessible.
People are friendly
Stuff works really well and is maintained and in good condition. This time we hired a hydraulic cultivator. Saved us hours.
Easy to use. Received a few safety & operational instructions.
The issue was in the service agreement and the level of information. We had been informed if we hired late Friday and returned it early Saturday (before midday) it was a 1/2 day hire. Turns out you need to have it back 8-9am at the latest so was charged a full day rate.
Spoke to site rep who took my comments on board around the hiring times and that they will look to place better & clearer signage 7 communication. Seems they had a couple of new starters that may not have been that clear to clients on that requirement.
Will i use them again.
Absolutely.
Cost competitive and i liked the staff there.
