I went on Friday around 9: 30 and stood there at the takeaway counter with my thumb up my a55 for 10min. Guy waiting in the table queue before I arrived and still waiting when I left. Staff too busy doing God knows what. Only 10% customers. I walked.

Awful is an understatement for the staff's behavior! I would have given 0 star if it was possible! We went there on a quiet Sunday, yet NO ONE acknowledge us. After sitting for about 10min a very rude waiter threw the menu on the table and left! We waited for at least 20min, with hungry kids, before leaving the place. NO ONE was freaking able to do their job during the whole 30min we’ve been there. They were just turning around with such attitude and ignoring our table. Because I respect my kids I didn’t bother confronting them, they don’t deserve wasting my energy and time anyway.

Absolute rip off. $19 for a coffee and a croissant! Go elsewhere. Save your money. It’s not worth it.

Sophisticated, cool, great coffee and a good menu. Beautiful hideyhole for a lazy afternoon.

Great coffee. Great food. It’s worth buying their beans too. Give you excellent results at home.

It's been a while since we've been back at Richmond. We decided to have lunch and a relaxing afternoon and decided upon Veneziano. We were so happy to have made the choice. The coffee was great; smooth and fragrant, the microfoam on the latte was perfect. We had the eggs Benedict, chicken Shawarma and pork belly. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and textures of the 3 meals.
Eggs Benedict - The beef slices and hollandaise sauce with sprinkles of paprika added an edge to the usual eggs Benedict.
Chicken Shawarma - The mixture of chicken, greens and pesto were perfectly balanced and worked so well with the soft and fluffy pita.
Pork Belly - The pork belly was the pièce de résistance! The dish was well balanced with the sweetness of the apple sauce, honey glazed carrots, pickled vegetables and the pork belly ~ just melts in your mouth.
The team was attentive and helpful which was great as we also had a toddler in tow. Would definitely pay another visit in the future! Another gem found in Richmond.

My wife and I had been coming here for over 4 years, drawn by the good vibes, decent coffee, and acceptable food. However, the staff’s attitude was consistently arrogant and unwelcome. Throughout all this time, I can’t remember a time when their staff treated us friendly or even bothered themselves with nice hospitality. To make matters worse, during our last visit, one of the staff members intentionally dropped our ordered plates onto the table without any reason and disappeared! We were shocked and thinking about what we had done wrong, making this guy so angry. Nevertheless, I believe staff are not happy with their work there.

I generously give this place 3 stars instead of 4 because of its unique ambience, pleasant coffee, but poor staff attitude.

Stayed nearby for the last week. Amazing coffee, delicious breakfast/lunch options, delightful staff & always studiously tidy. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this industrial-style venue and I was thoroughly impressed! The place exudes a unique charm with its raw and edgy decor, perfectly blending modern aesthetics with a touch of rustic appeal. The Chicken Shawarma was an absolute treat to the taste buds. Perfectly seasoned, succulent chicken wrapped in a warm, soft pita bread - it was a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The coffee was equally splendid. Rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, it was the ideal accompaniment to the delicious Shawarma. It’s evident that they take their coffee seriously here, and it shows in the quality of the brew.

Disappointing experience: we received lukewarm and even awkward customer experience from Ben, the food came out mediocre but we have to say coffee was decent.

Went for lunch with a friend, great ambience but definitely not coming back due to customer service and food

Great place and decent food, the staff is kind of arrogant, specially the young woman in the cashier look so annoyed to be there and makes you feel absolutely unwelcome.
She could get better customer service training or find another job as it ruins the vibe of the cafe.
Not considering that one of the times she charged me extra and she couldn’t explain what she was charging me for.

Always when I get my big coffee bag and ask for my free coffee, she rolled her eyes, it’s like what!? !

I am a regular client and I have taken few people as guests to this place, I would suggest friendlier staff, otherwise there is lot of good cafes around bridge road when people is more than happy to serve you properly.

Really lovely cafe in the back streets of 'old' Richmond. Busy at lunchtime but lots of space inside and out. Good wraps and bagels for lunch. They roast their own beans here so you can sniff your way here. A delightful experience.

Customer service wasn’t very warm. Takeaway Chicken wrap was quite soggy, I assume from the pickles inside. Vegemite and cheese croissant was delicious though!

You used to have nice chips. Looks like you've changed them to the generic 'shopping centre food court' chips.yuk

Went in for lunch last Saturday.

On entering the venue and asking for a table the girl at the door just looked at us. My husband then said can we sit anywhere and the girl said yes.

After sitting down the girl asked what we wanted to drink. We asked if we could have a look at the menu and she point to the QR code on the table.

On her return we gave her our drinks order and before we could say what we wanted to eat she was gone. Did not ask if we wanted anything to eat, just disappeared. Our drinks arrived and still we were not asked what we would like to eat. Actually we didn’t really have an opportunity as she placed our drinks and quickly left.

At this point we decided that the seven floor staff who were roaming around the venue were far to busy to ask the simple question “are you after anything to eat”. We finished our drinks and surprisingly the girl who took our order promptly appeared to grab the empty cups asking “oh have you finished”. To which the reply was, yes.

Very disappointing experience given they were not busy and the floor staff were standing around talking.

Needless to say we went to another venue and enjoyed a lovely lunch with exceptional services.

They have one of the best coffee in Richmond. The secret to their success is to micro roast the coffee on site and serve it to the customer fresh.
Their venue is huge with coffee, food and production all happening under the same roof.
Their croissant is also great too. The front of the house staff is nice and welcoming while their food is great too.
You can see how the coffee is processed and they have people who can sometimes explain the process to you too.
They also sell beans and I have ordered the whole beans for my office quite often. Their espresso blend beans and single origin beans are fantastic and I recommend you to try it at home if you have the equipment.
They had their store birthday on the 21/9/2022 and they gave away free small coffee to all the customers which is a great way to give back and keep up with marketing.
Overall a great coffee place and must try

Warm space with knowledgeable staff and tasty coffee. Huge roastery yet the small details aren't missed, Tried a Geisha flat white for the first time and it was 10/10 ️
Thanks Gab ;)

Amazingly good coffee! Food was just okay.

Unfortunately, attitude of the staff kill all the good vibes here. So arrogant and thought they're the best roastery! THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD COFFEE OUT THERE WITH A LOVELY SERVICE "BUT NOT THIS PLACE"

No I won't come back and will not even think about it.

Pretty decent food, their coffee beans weren’t great for milk coffees. Batch brew was better than my flat white. Tacked on a 10% weekend surcharge which wasn’t made clear upfront which was disappointing and should be discouraged.

I had a barista brekkie consisting of 3 coffee beverages done in 3 ways: espresso, milk based and filter. Each cup was from a different microlot and the quality was outstanding. Barista’s execution was flawless and each cup was more delicious than the next.
The experience as a whole could have been much better though. The space is huge and you feel lost in it when sitting at a small bar in front of the barista station. He had no time to chat about these wonderful coffees due to the fast customer traffic. It’s great that the cafe is so busy but offering these specialty coffee experiences requires a dedicated approach. Aunty Peg, Ona and other smaller brew bars in Melbourne succeeded in this and I am sure Veneziano can too
