Velvet Bar reviews
9I recently visited Velvet Bar and had a fantastic experience overall. The drink selections were absolutely amazing, offering a wide variety to choose from. However, during peak times, it can be a bit challenging to get prompt service, but the quality of the drinks and the friendly staff more than made up for it.
Will at this bar is so attentive and his attention to detail is exceptional. Amazing service, amazing drinks, and an amazing experience! We will come back multiple times. Such a joyous experience!
Jasmine makes the best lychee caprioska and was training the staff all night. She legit has a degree in chemistry. And deserves a massive raise / promotion! Get on it crown
Can be tricky to get service during peak times. Promotes fancy drinks and they do look great though like everyone says, much too expensive for my liking.
I personally prefer Jackpot or the Sports bar upstairs.
Worst cocktail EVER from here
Looked so forward to having a few toblerones and this rubbish is what we got. No chocolate no cream ice blocks not even blended. As it was busy we thought we would get 2 each wish we hadn’t.
Safe to say we didn’t get any more
Massively overpriced. I paid $21 dollars for an espresso Martini and it came pre-made from a box.
I love this bar and I've always made an effort to pop on here when visiting Melbourne. I have been enjoying the cocktails here for over 10 years, the staff have always been friendly and the cocktail list is very diverse. They still do the fish bowl cocktails but Australia's strict liquor licensing laws have reduced them to nearly 2 standard drinks, so if not for the novelty value, it's not worth the money. There's plenty of space in here and I generally find there's always room for big groups.
Nice bar to celebrate your winnings or drown out your losses, bartenders are always friendly, even if there is a bit of a crowd, the drinks come out fast.
