Binesh is a really good chef, ordered 3 dosas and they were super tasty. Highly recommended

Food tastes delicious. We had to wait for very long to get our meals. It was disappointing that only two out of five meals were served first. By the time we got the other meals, two people on the table had already finished their food. They should serve all the meals at the same time. The tables and chairs were really filthy. There was food on the chair covers which was really unhygienic and dirty to sit on.

The quality of food is below average. Frozen naan from the packet in the restaurant are you kidding? Won't be visiting again.

Horrible customer service from Mayuran at Vel Restaurant. Ordered biryani and 3 masala dosas. Waited for 45 mins, no one called out our order number. Finally, went to the counter and asked about order and Mayuran gave it to us without even asking for the order number, she knew it was ours but didn't say anything the whole time and kept on staring at us while we were sitting down. Asked for mild flavour and gave us the most tasteless and only filled with spices, worst biryani. Our order had gotten cold and had waited for so long but Mayuran did not even apologise. Only go to this restaurant for humiliation, disappointment, terrible customer service, disgusting food, and to ruin your day.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight via doordash and it was the BEST Indian I've had in this area since moving to Seaford 3 years ago. Get the dosa, you will not be disappointed.

Quality south Indian food, clean and tidy, good hygiene, very affordably priced maintaing highest quality and taste. Good ambience to dine in. Friendly staff and customer service. Excellent.

Really poor customer service. Staff serving behind counter too busy talking to each other. I stood for over 6 mins waiting to pick up my online order. 2 customers walked in after me and got served before I said something. Came home and only 1 set of utensils in the bag when I specifically asked for utensils in the notes section.and top top it off, I ordered 2 lots of deserts and was only given 1.terrible service.

Good place but they need to update the restaurant timings on the website went for a take away for breakfast was waiting for the restaurant to open @9 but went inside the staff said it opens @10

Liked the place, prices were very reasonable and the really liked food being served in 'bio degradable plant based plates'.

This is a beautiful place to compliment the huge grocery store. The ambience and service is really good, but the food taste is really average. Even basic sambar and chutney has a lot of room to improve. The place needs a good chef badly. We enjoyed the video songs on the screen which kept us going and in good spirit. Taste of basic dishes like sambar and chutney needs improvements otherwise fabulous place in terms of Décor and Ambience.

We travelled a long way to have the famous medu wadas which turned out to be really cold and bland, along with every other item that we ordered. A few issues in every item that we ordered like the sambar had way too much turmeric in it, spicy paneer dosa had crushed paneer on a dosa without any spice. When asked to give fresh food, we were met with a comment saying "it was cooked at 6pm" and we ordered at 7.40pm.
The chicken curry, mango lassi, coke and sweets were good.

Food is not the same it used to be, looks like they haven't got experienced staff. Not going back any time soon.

Quality and quantity has reduced drastically. Price has increased. Service is very poor. Used to enjoy eating thali. Travelled long distance just to come here. Don't think I'll be a return customer anymore.

Coming first time and food was good but costumer service was not as good as expected. No water on tables we have to pay.

Nice place that serves hot food at reasonable prices. The food is good but can be much better.

The wait times are sometimes a bit longer but the food is always warm if not piping hot.

The dosas are really good and crispy. We have tried the spicy masala dosa which could’ve been much spicier. The sambar was lukewarm and had a little too much of turmeric and asafoetida for our liking. The chutneys were pretty delicious.

The ghee dosa was served with the same sambar that was once again lukewarm. The dosa lacked that fragrance and flavour of ghee.

The chilly uttapam was missing the chilly acidity and hotness that we were looking for but was pretty well cooked.

The idli was good but again was not served hot. We had ordered 2 idli and 1 wada combo but they ran out of wada and we were given a samosa as a replacement instead but it would’ve been better if it was checked with us if we are okay with this replacement. Samosa was served hot and was pretty good.

The veg biryani was good. Was served with chole and raita which is a bit unusual but was pretty tasty. I would go back just for the chole. The biryani had a lot of masala in it and had a nice little zing and punch to it.

A good place to have cheap okay-ish meal. I have been here a couple of times and the general hygiene has been acceptable but the restaurant was stinking yesterday for some reason.

Tasty food and lot of variety it was good if they took order from dine in customers at the table like other restaurants

I spent $95 at their grocery shop last week and given a voucher to buy two plain dosa. Order them for first time with other items and got take away home, opened the box one dosa was missing and other items was cold and oilie.

Very limited service. Food was ok. When I asked for tap water it took 3 different servers to ask each other before I got a paper cup with some tap water.
