Vegie Bowl Restaurant - Forest Hill

Food came out fast and was all delicious. One menu has pictures and another without. I prefer vegetarian restaurants which don't serve meat to save confusion and put your mind at ease but it has enough options and the staff didn't seem phased by answering questions. They were clear about which meals were which when they came out.

I do really love the food here however the price has recently gone up substantially which i understand but has impacted how much i visit

Dined here with friends who are vegan, and though I’m not, all the vegan dishes were very tasty. Furnishings are tired. Staff are friendly

Very rude staff, kept me waiting for my order and ignored me while serving other customers.

One dish. Curry chicken! Not really into my veges but the curry was so delicious that you wouldn't even realise it's mock meat

Lost one star for dry tasting food.
Lost two stars for credit card over-charging.
We have tried the Lemon Chicken that was ONLY JUST edible.
Salt n Pepper Calamari was good but dry.
Salt n Pepper Mushroom was good but dry.
Satay skewers were good but dry.
Fried rice was very good.
2023, wet Winter Saturday night, 6.30pm, inside was full, outside undercover section had about 20 x seats free, they fired up a heater - it was fine.
Staff were friendly and mostly polite but there was a few too many non-English words being yelled across the restaurant.

First time costumer the food not what expected service I don't if she the boss but she wasn't excited about us been there it was crowded

I'm not vegan, but this has become onr of my favourite restaurants. The sweet and sour abalone mushroom is to die for.

Accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant. Loved their food. I’m not vegetarian but my partner is and we struggle with finding places to eat, so it was a nice surprise.

Great tasting food and friendly staff in a cozy environment. Has their own car park and is situated on a quiet service lane. Quite interesting to see so many common dishes turned vegetarian! Lovely place to visit, especially for family gatherings.

Worst experience we ever had.

Food was just not worth it!
We felt that they just poured lot of hot water in curry and served.

Customer service was equally pathetic and must be trained.
Every waiter who was serving showing dull, angry face as if they are serving free food. Furthermore, before we finish, one waiter was even tried to pull the plates when we were eating.
Very annoying behaviour.

Had the mock lamb bowl, coconut rice, mock seafood crispy noodles and yam bowl. Great food, taste good, excellent service. Ideal for a tasty vegetarian meal.

Food was great but one of the woman working/serving was incredibly rude and pushed/walked into me twice, and later rolled her eyes and gave a aggressive response when politely asked about our missing meal.won’t be going back.

Been eating here for about 2 years now and never disappoints. Everything in the menu can be made Vegan

Best food we've had in Melbourne so far, was trying to find a Malaysian styled restaurant that was vegetarian with no onion or garlic. Perfect for us. And the servers were very friendly!

My favourite dish was the abalone with oatmeal, and second favourite was the veggie fin soup, very comforting. Hope Veggie Bowl will open up a restaurant in Gold Coast or Brisbane one day!

I'm not a vegetarian, but I love their mock meats! All their dishes are flavourful and delicious. My favourite is the duck noodle soup with egg noodles (if you don't request egg, it comes with vermicelli noodles). The chilli there hits a punch (which I love), so go careful with it. Very well priced and one of my favourite vegetarian restaurants.

Highly recommended place for vegetarian dishes. Our go to place!
Can't recommend them enough

We had the banquet for two. It was great! The skewers, soup and the fried mushroom were great!
The stir fry was not that good, too much sauce.
The mango sago pudding was excellent!
Great outdoor area as well.

This place was alright. Service was Normal. Some of the chairs were already dirty though. The food came out a little slow but other than that the food was delicious. It would’ve been better if there were some meat choices on the menu

Amazing vegetarian and vegan food. Hasn’t disappointed at all in the past 7 years we’ve been. Everything is fantastic and great to try - no mistakes.
