Vegie Bar

Used to be my favourite restaurant of all time. Then they took all of my favourite (and popular) items off the menu. Please bring back the rice balls (and that delicious sauce), the nachos, and the dr feel good smoothie. Lost a very loyal but now sad customer.

The food was absolutely lovely, as per usual. However, the lack of staff interaction due to the QR code menu still in place just seems lazy, when everywhere else have gone back to normal. And when we did have an interaction with the staff, they were so rude and didn't want to have a bar of us. Definitely won't be going back, especially now there are other great vegan places to eat at, that have way better customer service and atmosphere!

Wasn't too crowded for a Monday and consideration to the covid spacing rules in place might be worth booking a table if a weekend.

Overpriced tasteless food! Not even one dish was flavourful. Never knew vegetarian food for two people could cost $100.

Always great, fresh food and friendly service.can order using your phone from the table now which cuts out queuing to pay when you're done.

I ate here tonight with a girlfriend who I hadn’t seen in years. We were excited to get a few cocktails and share some food. Unfortunately they have the QR code in place and my girlfriend was having issues ordering on her phone. It wasn’t loading and she kept having to re-scan the code. In the end to our surprise what we ordered went through twice. Surely someone may have been curious as to why two petite women ordered two large pizzas, two burritos and two burgers with fries, but no. I like to imagine that I can put quite a bit away haha, but that much food would have been impossible. We explained to the waiter the issues we had with trying to order and apologised repeatedly for the inconveniences it had caused. He said that he would talk to the manager which was promising, only to come back stating that the manager said we had to pay as the food would be wasted. I was so disappointed and disheartened with this response. I found it difficult to believe that no one else would have ordered what we did, the restaurant was full with a line out the front. Having a partner in hospitality with two reputable restaurants, our staff would never treat customers the way that we were treated tonight, with such little empathy. I have enjoyed vegie bar as well as transformer in the past, but after tonight, I won’t be returning.

Some friends arrived before us and ended up waiting an hour. Front of line but because their system wasn’t working and we didn’t have cash, other groups went in before us, which was annoying.
Friends got cash, but predictably as soon as we finally got a table their system was working again.
Annoyed to find out that you have to order through qr code.qr codes never seem to load for me, I had to use my friends phone. Also irritating if like our group, all our phones were on low battery. I think as an addition it’s convenient, but to expect people to order on their phones is unfair.
I ordered one of the noodle dishes, mainly because it said it had oyster and shiitake mushrooms. It was tasty, but my meal only had two small pieces of mushrooms, which I wasn’t very impressed by, especially given that generally when an ingredient is listed first under a menu item, you expect it to have a key role in the dish.
For the most part everyone at the table enjoyed their meals (except for the one who ordered the Parma, which looked very sad with a square lump of cheese on a dry looking schnitzel), and the drinks were nice.
However because of the wait and the QR coding system, I’m happy with the one experience.

Vegie Bar used to be delish but over the last few years it's gone completely down hill, the service is so casual you barely get treated with respect. We didn't expect much from the food and of course it was average, but the way the waiter treated us was so rude. We stacked all of our plates and placed them to the side for them and they just took them without even asking us how our food was, if we enjoyed it, or thanking us, we were completely ignored.

The food is good as always, but they're using QR codes for ordering. Although it was probably brought in for covid, lots of other places have dropped it now and it really dents the experience keeping it in place, unlikely to go back until I hear it's changed. Happy to change my review when it's removed.

Ok, so possibly the nicest veggie pizza I've ever eaten! Great food, great vibe. Super efficient staff with food arriving very fast. Super fresh

Since 25 years a go they always are busy and most people are happy with the food.

A fun range of vege options for those looking for that. But most flavours are very safe and conservative. Disappointed with the "mee goreng", the noodles were overly soft and starchy, as if oversoaked? Excellent peanut flavour, but this should be labelled as a "peanut noodle" dish, not Mee Goreng. It is nothing like Mee Goreng. Very little chilli or spice in anything. Very safe. However, its got huge seating capacity, a friendly team, and the ordering online system is great. But for $22 per dish, I believe things could be turned up several notches.

First time at a veggie place and was really surprised. Great atmosphere and great food. The only thing not helping is the lack of Apple Pay with the mobile ordering system.

This is the spot to take omni’s to eat when they say they don’t like vegan food.a prime example of how amazing and extensive plant based food is!

I always wanted to come to this place because one of my friends recommended it to me. I had the opportunity to go this week and I ordered the Mexican burrito, letteraly I didn't miss the meat at all because it was so tasty, creamy and waa the perfect portion. Also, we had the sundae as the desert and it was out of this world.

The vibe and atmosphere is amazing but actual taste of food is average. They need to work on improving taste with all the vegetarian and vegan competition now.
