Valley Reserve reviews
46This reserve is a classic example of the foresight and planning of the MMBW, (Melbourne & Metropolitan Board of Works) now Melbourne Water. The setting aside and eventual management of Valley Reserve by Melbourne Water gives the Eastern Suburbs one of several easily accessible and vitally important natural habitat areas for a wide range of fauna. Its main water way, Scotchman's Creek is home to a couple of very rare aquatic animals, and its numerous species of flora and trees is a fairly healthy set of "lungs" contributing to high air quality for nearby areas.
Great place to take young children, real adventure park type activities including climbing towers and even a flying fox to keep them busy. Also tables and chairs for the parents.
One of the really creatively designed play area. It has got many walking trails and bike trials. It's connected to Scotchman creek as well.
Nice little park reserve with good facilities such as BBQ, toilets and fun outdoor facilities for kids.
Amazing place to catch up with friends and family. There is a park, rides for kids, walking tracks, BBQ area, benches, open grounds for activities. It's also a nice place to celebrate birthdays.
Great play space and surrounding areas, only down fall is the amount of people in attendance on a nice day
BBQ'S ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
NO NOTIFICATION THAT THIS IS THE CASE EITHER ONLINE OR AT RESERVE
I'M SURE THE REST OF THE RESERVE WOULD HAVE BEEN LOVELY TO EXPLORE IF WE DIDN'T HAVE TO LEAVE TO FIND A PLACE WHERE WE COULD ACTUALLY COOK OUR BBQ LUNCH.
Nearest playground of my house, always play at there. Good good. Boys like to explore in jungles.
Green oasis in built up suburbia. Dogs on leash allowed but NOT in re-vegetation fenced off area.
Awesome adventure playground for all ages & educational Amphitheatre. This is also used by the Scouts. Bbq covered area with ample seating, tables, toilets & car parking. Great walking bush trails with bridges over creek & detailed info boards on native flora & fauna. Part of it runs along Scotchman's Creek trail.
Can easily walk 2 kms if you do the perimeter & inner trails. Check the trail map boards - take a pic & find your way around.
Good place to be with kids and family.good size for kids too go around and parents to bbq and relax. Also if you want yo walk on bush you can go short walks
What a great hidden secret! Super cool park, feels like you're out in the bush! Plus they've got toilets, a playground, and a bbq area, with ample parking. Will definitely be back!
Great park for kids of all ages. Main attractions include the flying fox.and the climbing course. Beautiful walk through the reserve.
Great place to walk dog on leash. Drinking tap and toilet provided. Trail is wide enough to pass by other people and dogs
Lovely bushland in middle of suburbia. Everything is clean and well maintained. The displays up to date and plenty of signposts which look good. Safe to walk around too.
Green space in the middle of suburbia. Smallish reserve but lots to explore and a link in Scotchmans creek. Some excellent facilities here for all ages. Including a well built play space, picnic areas and BBQs. The restored native vegetation is a testament to those involved in working on it. Lots of flora and fauna to discover.
Wonderfully rich park with a car park and playground. Love the woodland paths, it really feels like you can immerse in nature here.
A marvelous bush location right in the suburbs. Plus a playground that would excite any child's hearrt. A real credit to the city of Monash
Great walking track. Nice for a picnic but not near the playground. Further away. Good for on leash dogs
This is a great, natural playground. It allows for lots of nature play. Plenty of play options for the kids. Encourages risk taking which I love! We need more playgrounds like these. My toddler loves the sculptures, especially the owl. I feel there is something for all ages. Bring a bucket and spade for the sand pit area. Highly recommend. There is parking available, toilets nearby and BBQ areas.
