Amazing properties and all beautifully maintained. Would highly recommend any of these cottages or the larger houses for a getaway in the hills. Emelia and her staff do an outstanding job at maintenance and keeping all of the accommodation looking beautiful.

This house is great if you can get in.
Three important things you should know about this house are that the door lock is electric, that the area suffers frequent power outages and that the agent cannot help you get into the house during a power outage.
These things spoilt our weekend at Boyanda. We have stayed at too many short-stay accommodation places to count, and this is the first time we have left a negative review.
At check-in time, we had to call Valley Ranges Getaways to be able to find the key safe. Then the door would not unlock. Eventually Valley Ranges Getaways arranged other accommodation for us to be able to prepare for the wedding we were due to attend (to which we arrived late and rather stressed!) Eventually, Valley Ranges Getaways worked out that power outage was the cause of us not being able to access Boyanda, but told us the only access option was to wait until the power was restored.
The agent had advised us prior to the stay that the power was unreliable and we should be prepared for this. If you leave the house, be prepared that you may not get back in! Fortunately, it is a great house to spend a weekend in.
We think Valley Ranges Getaways should have worked with the owners to allow guests safe access to the house when the power goes out. When we put this to Valley Ranges Getaways, they did not agree and neither apologised for the inconvenience nor offered any goodwill gesture.
For this and other reasons I won't go into here, we won't use Valley Ranges Getaways again.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Emerald Cottage. Beautiful accommodation with amazing views. Everything was perfect. Would definitely stay there again.

Emerald Lodge and Emerald Cottage were just perfect for our family accomodation.
The spaciousness, cleanliness, comfortable beds, beautiful views and everything we could possibly need was there. Just perfect. We are already talking about how soon we could do this again.
Valley Ranges Getaways were amazing to deal with. Other online booking agencies & property managers could well take a leaf out of their book. Overall, a lovely relaxed & professional experience.
Will most definitely do this again.

The garden around the house is simply amazing, with a range of colours and smells (and even a duck)

The location itself was a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go and so it was a great base to start from. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a BnB to stay at

Juniper and Rye, the most beautiful quaint little miner cottage set amongst an immaculate green garden. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the neighbouring homes orange cat, who was very friendly - as an animal lover this was a great start to the stay. The cottage felt so serene in its space, with a gate leading out to an expansive flower speckled field, something like that of a film set. When through the front door we were immediately met with old worldly charm. Every detail was thought of carefully by the owners design, from the wonderful vintage cabinets, fascinating art and right down to the old style light switches. A highlight for me personally was the very sweet cosy little fireplace in the lounge. The location was perfect for us, very close to Belgrave too, of which has the adorable little cinema. Simply an absolutely perfect little getaway in the Dandenong Ranges. Will definitely recommend to friends, and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you to the owners for curating such a special little space.

My friends and I stayed at The Beeches in Olinda and had a fabulous time. The accommodation is immaculately clean and everything was beautiful, cosy and lovely. Add to that fantastic breakfast supplies and you’ve got yourself a fabulous time away.

The perfect place to stay prior to and after our wedding; great tree top views for getting ready bridal photos. Spacious main room, and a nice fire place to keep the rooms warm. A gift basket was also provided; a very nice touch!

Beautiful environment, comfortable stay, would be perfect if lighter provided for cooking and if only oven works too

The Little Violet Cottage was just beautiful! I was welcomed and spoiled by the owner, Charmaine, who made amazing treats and a breakfast spread for me. The cottage was stunning, and the views were immaculate. It made me want to live in Tecoma/The Dandenong Ranges, I felt right at home. I will definitely be coming back here again!:)

We had such a wonderful, surprise mini-moon after our wedding! We arrived to relaxed music playing and lamps to set a vibe, and the cottage itself - absolutely stunning! Clean and perfect, and the autumn views through all the windows - glorious! We were there mid May, so the leaves on the property were so colourful, and the ponies were a bonus. We had charcuterie boxes and high tea in the fridge upon arrival too, an in house couples massage the next day, and even had dinner booked the night after. Such a relaxing stay, romantic stay in front of the fire, thank you.

We stayed in Santosa Cottage. Was a gorgeous cabin. So quiet and peaceful. Even had a friendly magpie come and visit. Fantastic location. Would stay there again. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay with my partner. We needed a gateway from Melbourne city and that was exactly what we were looking for. The place is so relaxing and calming. We were the only one! Stayed at the gatehouse cottage. The cottage is perfect, cozy, romantic and the spa bath was a dream.

This was the most disappointing experience. I booked at Barbers Lodge for three nights via Valley ranges and paid the deposit. It was supposed to be for my first year wedding anniversary and my parents were joining us from Perth. I booked months in advance, and paid the deposit only for Valley ranges getaway to contact me 2 weeks prior to my stay and advise me that they could not accommodate us at Barbers Lodge as there was a family that were staying there who wanted to extend their stay through to the weekend we were staying. They provided me with two options that were not suitable (non dog friendly, and one bathroom). I advised them that I couldn’t leave my dog as boarding kennels were completely booked out (given the late notice) and we needed two bathrooms for four guests. I also asked if there was anything they could do to keep our original booking and the response I got was ‘I am afraid I am not prepared to try to rehouse the family who have been at Barbers Lodge for the past weeks just to provide the time out for your special anniversary. ’ I am appalled and disgusted by this service. I hope you reconsider the way you run your business and treat you guests. I will most certainly be providing this feedback around.

My friend and I had a wonderful 2 nights away. Artist on Everest was so relaxing and the amenities perfect.
We arrived seeing the box of goodies for our continental breakfast. Yum.
The lounging couches were comfy. Ducted heating and fireplace was perfect for the cold, cold nights.
I'd better not forget to mention the beautiful views from the windows and if the weather was better, we would have enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony.
I would highly recommend this location and I will definitely be back.

We received a voucher for our wedding which I requested an extension on due to COVID, and this extension was not honoured. The new owners said there was nothing they could do to help.

In reply to the owners’ response below, I was advised by a member of your team that the new expiry date would be the 31/12/2020. The initial expiry was 07/06/2020, so already, your records stating that the voucher was extended for 6 months (until 07/09/2020) are incorrect.

We arrived at midnight after a really big day and a long drive in the rain. We opened the door to find soft lighting, music and the heating on. Most comfy bed I have slept in yet.

Beechmont garden retreat - fabulous! We booked this for our wedding nearby, great accom for a big family to get ready/unwind after the big day!

Had made a booking but was cancelled due to lockdown in Vic, however customer service was exceptional considering the circumstances very prompt in contacting us with our options,
