Valley Park Riding School

I have been riding here since July 2023 and have had nothing but an amazing experience! All the staff are so lovely and accomodating. I always enjoy my lessons and feel challenged. I never did horse riding as a child but at 27 decided to start and i'm so glad i did. Thanks so much Valley Park, cant wait for another great year.

I booked a private 45-min lesson with this school some months ago. The booking was fully paid and confirmed.two days before the lesson, they called and said they didn't have availability at that time and needed to move my booking to 8am which was super early for me. They also didnt have availability for my desired time for the weeks to come. So I asked for a refund, which was unreasonably refused by them, though they were the ones who failed to offer the lesson at my desired time. They ended up changing mine to a short 30-min lesson.i went there, but even though i paid for private lesson, the teacher was teaching a group of students next to me at the same time. So she was just yelling at me from afar and didnt actually teach me anything. I gave the school another chance and booked with another teacher (as they also kept my credits there and refused to refund). The second teacher was better but she was late and was answering her phone calls in the session. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone.

This riding school is wonderful. My seat and technique are night and day compared to when I started here in April. I came here after two years somewhere else, and so value the highly qualified coaches, and warm, friendly and professional approach from everyone from the ground staff upwards. Special mention to coaches Shaiful, Taryn and Bree. This is my happy place, and I look forward to many years of learning

Thank you so much to Trish and her lovely team! My daughter had the most wonderful 10th Birthday Pony Party today. It was beyond our expectations! All the kids had no experience and would have been feeling abit nervous - and you made them feel so comfortable and were so kind and caring that they all relaxed and were full of smiles. The whole thing from booking to the party was so easy and enjoyable. Can't thank you enough for such a memorable party.

I’ve returned to riding as an adult after a loooong break and cannot recommend VPRS highly enough. Their online booking system is easy to use and it’s really simple to book casual lessons. I have a young family and haven’t been able to commit to regular lessons at a set time but I never have any issue getting a booking. I’ve ridden different horses and had different instructors - they’ve all been excellent and I’ve been able to pick up wherever I left off at my last session. The staff are always helpful and friendly; I’ve especially enjoyed learning more about equine care before and after my lessons. I highly recommend VPRS to any other adults who are thinking about lessons.

The staff at this place is incredibly friendly and professional. I brought my daughters here for four private riding lessons to help them learn the basics. Despite knowing that we were just visiting, the staff treated my kids as if they were enrolled in a long-term program. They provided them with the right amount of freedom to try and explore on their own. We are truly grateful to the staff for their exceptional service.

Went there for my 8yr old niece birthday party her and her friends had a great time riding the ponies. Well organised.

Very disappointing the way they manage comunication, despite emails and phone calls, nobody got back to us.

Also, they don't allow visitors and riders to get in touch with the horses, which is a shame, as it would enrich children and family to build a great experience with those beautiful animals

it is so depressing and make no sense to be confined behind a line!

The first problem we encountered with Valley Park Riding School was trying to get in touch with the reception. They don’t ever answer the phone and take ages to reply to emails, if you ever get a reply. We managed to book some riding lessons for my son. When we turned up, the staff hardly acknowledged us, and left us guessing as to where we should go. My son was then left to brush a horse while the young worker stood nearby and used her mobile phone, while ignoring him. The instructer then turned up to give him his lesson. She was very rude in the way she spoke to him throughout.
We had four lessons in total, and at each, the staff were all just as rude. We won’t be going back. Not all bad, the horses are lovely and have much better personalities than the staff.

Really unprofessional. I came here about a year ago hoping to get lessons and when I arrived there was no one that was there to help me but a girl in grade 9 who was volunteering there for the first time.

During my lesson time, my teacher spent a few minutes distracted talking to a neighbour, on the phone for much of it, and he was clearly feeling under the weather (possibly from the heat). For how much I paid for the lesson I found this to be unacceptable.

Just started but love the place, the coaches I worked with so far are mix of supper friendly, and supper serious in what they do which is exactly what I am after. Looking forward to have a great start and get to know all the horses around here.

My kids had a terrible trainer. She was rude and mean to them. If you can't work with kids and only love the horses stick to the stables. You really ruined the experience for them great after spending $300 for 1 hour!

Valley Park Riding School is a fantastic place for novice, intermediate and advanced riders. My Daughter has been attending lessons for a few years now and has always been treated well, learned equine care and grooming as well as had top flight instruction in riding and personally tailored lessons regarding body position and strength development for weaknesses. Every time she hops back in the car she shows signs of having worked hard! Always worth it.

This school is wonderful. All coach are professional and friendly. We are luck and find this perfect school.

This riding school is so wonderful. The staff are so lovely, the instructors are amazing and the horses are so beautiful and easy to ride. Not to mention well looked after. I highly recommended this riding school for beginners or advanced riders, or riding looking to get back into it like me. Thanks team I think your so wonderful!

Good quality horses. Two instructors I could make a connection with. My daughter's experience crushed her and she's a tough cookie. I guess the close proximity to the city draws the crowd.

There are a number of issues with this business. However, the lack of professionalism is at the top of my list as to my experience with them. My first visit was met with arriving, nobody greeting us or advising us of what we needed to do. I contacted the business to let them know what had occurred and we had a discussion about what happened. I thought I would give them another chance and my husband took my daughter. He said they seemed ok but had the view that they belittled some of the children in their lessons. So, we thought we would try one more time and maybe they were having a bad run. I arrived in the office waiting to check in where I was left for at least 5 -7 minutes, while I overheard who I assume was the owner or manager; was having a personal conversation in regard to some personal circumstances I would rather not have been present for. I left the office a few times returning and hoping I would just be checked in and moved on. Instead, I was left standing there waiting as the conversation kept going. While my daughter had a lesson I also observed the belittling that occurred in one of the group lessons. There was also an occasion with my own daughter. We have now tried another organisation.we had induction, friendlier lessons and the horses are well cared for. I wanted to be fair and give chances for improvement after my first feedback. However, after my last experience in the office we will not be returning.

Tremendous party experience for 10 year old. Caring, well organised team. Most of the kids started with trepidation and ended with wanting to take riding classes

Have been riding here since 2015. Instructors are all amazing and they all teach a lot. They also teach riders with special needs, if anyone is interested, Valley Park is an amazing place to take riding lessons!

Valley Park staff are so friendly and the whole vibe of riding there is truely amazing! I have learned so much while being at Valley Park!
